7646 WAHOO! I just found out that it is going to be 69 degrees tonight. The high tomorrow is supposed to be 85 degrees. A thunderstorm will come by tonight and that is going to cool us off! YEHAW!

7646 I had the first two chapters of James (Bible) memorized about 8 years ago. I don't remember any of it now. Isn't that sad?
7646 Randi
7646 Joy,

I would be happy to only have weather in the low 80s. I usually consider that a very high temperature. But after 4 100 degree days in a row, I would love the low 80s. I guess it's all relative. It almost never gets this hot this soon in the year. I wish it would come late in the summer like it usually comes.

7646 I am holing up in my apartment because of the heat. I have been at the computer and reading A Curse Dark as Gold (great book, by the way) As a result, I am almost through with the book and am catching up on my computer. It has actually been a blessing.
7646 I hear you, Joy. The temperature at 8:30PM is 89 degrees. It probably won't get below low 80s tonight. Man, am I having fun yet? The answer is a resounding NO.
7646 In KS, it was 100 degrees for three straight days. It has also rained the last three days. That only makes it more humid. It is oppressive out there. I try not to go outside of I can help. I HATE HOT!!!!, so you know how much I'm liking this spell of 100 degree weather.
7646 Joys said "Randi, about those twists and turns in the plot, are they difficult to follow?"

I think they are just distractions with different suspects until you find out the real one. She may turn to get people of their idea of who it is. You are paying so much attention to who you you think the suspect is that you don't see the real suspect till close to the end.

7646 Linda - he said that they were funny and not ponderworthy. In other words, he will only take short stories that make you think. Funny ones apparently do not fall in that category.
7646 Sad, isn't it that it has to be that way?
7646 I have to say that when I am with someone and do 10 good things and 1 wrong thing, they will inevitably spend a lot of time riding me about what I did wrong and never say anything about what I did right. Don't you think that is a little backward?

7646 He actually refused three out of the first five stories that I gave him. He has taken three now, though. 3/6 isn't bad at all in my book.

7646 My friend owns it.

7646 OMG! That is the one I was waiting to hear about. I now have three stories published. I wish he would have told me rather than let me hear it from someone else. Thank you very much, Linda for your opinion and also for letting me know that my third story is published.

7646 Today I am getting through the fallout from yesterday's news. I sent another short story in today, and I hope it gets published as well. I have mostly been at the computer all day today. I keep hoping that people will tell me what they think of my short stories, good or bad. I am also hanging on to see if he has read my story yet, and if he will publish it if he does like it.
7646 i think that Anne Perry is the best mystery writer around today. She deals with the Victorian era and really does her homework well. It is authentic Victorian writing. Her characters are great and the plots have a lot of twist and turns in them. She is just an all-around great author.

7646 That's how I started out also. I finally decided to give it a shot, and it worked!! You never know until you try.

7646 You should pursue with your short stories. Any subject is good for a short story.

7646 The site for the short stories is http://ponderworthy.org. When you look for them, they are under my real name...Susan Anderson. Thanks to one and all on your congratulations on both issues I discussed.

7646 I found out I don't need to have the operation. The largest nodule is the size of two sequins. The two smaller ones were the size of a sequin. My lung doctor said it would be very dangerous to operate at this point. I am going to be getting a CT scan of my lungs every six months to make sure that they don't grow. We are still trying to figure out what is causing the breathing problem. We don't seem to be making much headway on that right now. I don't have any kidney disease at the moment. I hope that they find out something pretty soon. I don't like being hugely winded everytime I do something like walk, fasten my seatbelt, try to clean, etc. It's not fun, but at least there is not going to be an operation.
