758 I actually liked the movie, but as Elizabeth said, I had no idea the book was out there. I also just always try (after I've read the book AND watched the movie) to realize that it's never going to fully come up to my standards, so I just have to remember it's BASED on the book. That way, even if it strays REALLY far from the book, I can still enjoy the movie too as it's own entity.
That said, I'm very excited that this is the summer read!

758 Whenever I'm in the mood to watch Gilmore Girls, but not in order I always end up throwing Season 5 in, so that must be my favorite lol. I think I'm with Sarah on my favorites being 3 - 5, though.
Everything but the final season was sooo good though. And even now while I watch the final season, I like it more than when it was actually being aired.

758 I was eager to read Anna Karenina, but I started it a few weeks ago and didn't get past, like, the 15th page. So I'm not so excited, but the summer months would be good to try again haha

758 Yeah! It definitely makes a difference when you have to read something for school and when you're reading it because you want to.

758 I want to read the Bible this year too and my mom gave me a list to read it chronologically so that's what I'm going to do. It was funny cause there was a scholarship about Genesis last year and I read the whole thing in like 2 or 3 hours and I thought to myself "Wow, if I devoted that much time to this everyday I'd have this done in no time!" but then I never did lol.

758 I don't really have a number set for a goal. My goal is just to continue my personal reading while I'm going to school. It's easy for me to feel guilty that I'm not reading school books, so I'm going to try not to feel that way and finish books when I start them rather than starting four books in a semester and not finishing any of them.
A goal of a specific number of books seems a little too daunting for me.

758 I watched this my senior year of high school when we had family living with us and so I was constantly in my room watching Gilmore Girls lol. I definitely need to watch it a second time though

758 Since I'm in college I don't get to read as much as I want to. When I read a book that is not for school I feel guilty that I'm not reading for school. So a lot of time I end up watching tv. Then when I go home for breaks from school that's when I read a lot.
