758 I was so excited to find this group. I am a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan and it is wonderful to find other adults who value the show. My students turned me onto the show and I became addicted. It was something for me to talked to my students about but I was attracted to the intelligent writing, something difficult to find today on TV. My husband actually started watching it with me so he could be apart of something I liked...I now have to watch Heros with him. He suffered through it...what a champ.

My Gilmore Girls story: On September 26, 2006, I went into labor with our second child. It just so happened to be the same day as the final season premiere. To be honest, I did not really care, I had other things on my mind. My husband mentioned it as we drove to the hospital. "Maybe it'll be a girl if you deliver during the show!" I received the eipdural at about 7:45 and they told me to relax...all I wanted was sleep. My husband left around 8pm to get food and before he left turned on Gilmore Girls. I was completely out of it but I heard him tell the nurse, "it is her favorite show, she'll be so upset if she misses it." After he left, I turned it off an suffered in silence, but it was a sweet intention. Nicholas John was born at 9:45pm and I caught the show in reruns!

758 I don't remember this episode...just another reason to go back an watch it again, but you both had me interested in the movie,so I looked it up online for a plot summary. While I was looking at stuff about the 1976 movie, there is also mention of a remake in the works. Apparently, it will be released in 2009 and stars Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange (I love her). The movie has been added to my "to rent" list....thank you ladies! I love this group!!

758 These are my snow day cookies, I make them whenever school is closed. Make them with peanut butter chips and it is amazing. The recipe is from my Nestle Toll House cookbook.

Double Chocolate Dream Cookies
·2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
·1/2 cup Baking Cocoa
·1 teaspoon baking soda
·1/2 teaspoon salt
·1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
·1 cup packed brown sugar
·3/4 cup granulated sugar
·1 teaspoon vanilla extract
·2 large eggs
·2 cups (12-oz pkg) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
(If you are daring use peanut butter morsels)

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs for about 2 minutes or until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are puffed. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

758 karin,

My husband calls it Everyday Cleavage! I like her, but don't watch the show when my husband is home....the conversations turn crude.
