758 i like the episode with the big snow storm and Lorelai has Max over when Lane is hiding out at the house, and then Lane sees them, runs into Rory's room and starts playing music and Lorelai is like, "uh oh, that's the Cure, I'd better go check on her" or whatever.

758 I was really impressed with Wuthering Heights. It's been so long since I read the book that I honestly have no idea how different it is from the book.

and OMG, Tom Hardy was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect Heathcliff. He could be crazy and scary or charming and hot (When he came back with his new hair! /drooooool).

love love love

758 I love Two for the Road with Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. They are so wonderful together!

Another favorite is Father Goose with Cary Grant. So silly and cute!

758 I just watch it on TV. Usually in the morning when I am getting ready. I've seen all the seasons except for the last one because ABC Family is teh suck. I really like the episodes right now with Jess. I love it when he dresses like Luke to work down at the dinner. And then when Luke shoves him in the lake! CLASSIC!

758 Naked Clown calendar! It's really my roommates but I think I'm going to steal it. Totally one of the most amusing things I've seen in a long while. He got it cos his old girlfriend is in it, haha.

758 Emily-
LOL. I understand how you feel, but she grew on me as the book went on. She turned into this sort of helpless puppy and made her almost impossible to hate. I didn't adore her by any means, but I liked her.

Karti-
I think it gets better towards the end. I like the Amy/Laurie story line. And the rest of the book pretty much focuses on Jo. Since she was my favorite character, I enjoyed those last few chapters. I think I also liked the end better because then the girls were around my age, so it was easier to relate, IMO.

758 That's so funny that you mention that Friends episode! I kept thinking about it the whole time I was reading! I have a hard time believing Joey was able to get that far into a book that I felt was rather slow, especially in the beginning, and he probably couldn't relate to it at all.

758 I just finished this and i didn't really like it. It felt kinda slow and dull for most of it. The second half is better then this first, IMO. Another thing that bugged me was the sort of preachy tone. I did like the pairings though. Amy is perfect for Laurie. I still felt really bad for Laurie, but I knew it was for the best. And Jo is such an odd girl, she had to have an odd match. As soon as I met the Professor, I knew she had to marry him.

Rory's Luke (28 new)

758 You all make good points. I jump on the train that Lane is Rory's Sookie, the ever-loyal friend.

I suppose I should admit that I am somewhat blinded by my love for Paris. She might be my favorite character to watch.

Anyway, I'm going to try and clarify what I'm getting at. Luke and Lorelai's relationship changes a lot throughout the show. It grows. So does Rory and Paris'. They go from mortal enemies to (from Paris' POV, at least) best friends. The Gilmore girls relationships with anyone else (who is on the show as long as Luke/Paris) stays pretty much the same, no big surprises. So I guess that is one of the reasons why I've paired them like that.

And I think Paris was very good for Rory and helped her grow a lot. It's very easy to see Rory's growth since ABC Family keep looping the series. Rory use to be very quite and shy and she out grew that quite a bit. I know Lorelai helped, but I believe Paris did too.

758 It is true that Lane and Rory have more in common, but I honestly didn't find their relationship as interesting as Luke/Lorelai and Rory/Paris. And Luke and Lorelai also went through some times when they were friendly or talking.

I think Rory moved into Lane's house after she left Emily's because Lane lived in Star's Hollow. And she wasn't there for very long ( I think, memory is a little fuzzy). She also lived with Paris longer.

And Rory and Paris kissed, so there! :p
Rory's Luke (28 new)

758 So I was thinking about how Lorelai always had Luke around and it was hard to image the show without their relationship. And then I started to wonder who was Rory's Luke. And Paris is totally Rory's Luke, I've decided. The show would not be the same without their on-going, weird relationship.

What do you all thing? agree/disagree?
