Yeah, it would be more expensive. In the books where Belinda is traveling, are there any suitors? If there aren't then that's another reason why they didn't do it exactly as the book. Ugh, I'm to critical.:(

Ohh right she was a blonde. Thanks for reminding me.:) I sorta skipped the middle books in the series, so I don't Belinda's story.

The two latest ones are "Love finds a home" & "Love Takes Wing". "Love Finds a Home" starts with Drew's death(I haven't seen the begining, but my sister said Drew died. I don't know how.). Belinda then is a doctor in some place, and of course there she meets some other guy. They end up getting married and then adopting a girl who of course will have her own love interest in the next movie.

"Love Takes Wing" is exactly alike "Loves Unfolding Dream". The girl she adopted wants to also become a doctor. And then a guy like Drew comes along who thinks women shouldn't be doctors and ect, ect, ect.

Of course there is more of a plot in the story. I don't know why I keep on complaining about it. If it really is as boring as I'm making it seem, why do I keep on watching the movies? I have the Hallmark channel, so I just watch it when it premeires.

Oh yeah, and Belinda is played by a different girl too. I just don't like how the actors always change. Belinda now is a bleach blonde with dark eyebrows. I don't think women back then had a beauty shop to go to and get their hair died the latest color.:)

I have not read "Loves Finds a Home" or "Love Takes Wing". So I have nothing to base my complaints on.:)

I hope I didn't ruin it for anyone. But if you just read a summary on it, you know how it ends.

I thought love comes sofly was pretty good. "Love's Enduring Promise" was okay. Yes, it didn't follow the book, but that would've been hard, considering that the book began when Missy was a little girl and ended with her engaged or married(I don't remember).

But these latest two movies are not very good at all. Belinda's daughter acts just like Belinda did to Drew in the movie. The women did have feministic views in the movie. But, I didn't mind it, because I see nothing wrong with a woman being a doctor if she wants to. I think it's great that now women have tons of career paths open to them. But what I don't like about our society is that now it puts so little value on motherhood. We went from one extreme to the other. Before everyone was all for motherhood, and they never considered women in another position. I would be thrilled to live in a society that valued and encouraged motherhood. But, I suppose some women didn't feel called to motherhood. Now women have tons of opportunities for them, but don't use them rightly. They end up pushing men out of the way so the dominate female can come through. I just wish women in this era could value womanhood, and they would not bash men all the time if they felt called to work outside the home. I'm defininetly not a feminist(please don't think I am that would be horrible).

Ohh yes, I actually like some characters. but they always kill off my favorite. I really like the guy who played Clark. He just really stoodout in the earlier films, but he's no longer on*sigh*. They killed off Willie and now Drew. I also don't like this new guy who's Belinda's husband.

I also realized that Missy should've been ancient in those movies, because she kept on adopting all these children and in the next movie the kid would all be grown up, and in their own romantic problems. She adopted like 3 kids(Belinda one of them), and at least 10 years went by, so that would be at the very least 30 years, and Missy didn't look one day older.

Did any of you guys notices how fancy the womens hairstyles were starting to get? Missy had her all curled and up with some her wraping around her shoulder in a perfect curl. I don't think a pioneer women would have little french maid doing her hair every morning after she just slopped the hogs the day before*rolls eyes*.

My point of view on this is rather easy to figure out. I thought, I actually liked the movies. But now after I started making a list, I believe I'm persuading myself otherwise. That's funny usually other people persuade you.:)

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if you liked the movies or the books better?

For me the movies are okay by themselves as long as you do not relate them to the books. I liked the "Love Comes Softly" movie, and "Loves Enduring Promise" movie version. But these latest ones just seem to be the same one over again. I hate the fact that they always have to kill a guy off so that there can be romance in the next movie. If the books would've been like that they would be absolutely horrible. What I like the most about the books is that they're not overly romantic, instead they deal more with family relationships.

Well anyway, what did you like or didn't like about the movie versions?
