Hello hello,

I am looking for the title of a probably Australian book, aimed at about 8 year olds up from memory.

Its about a boy (I believe) who is taken into a big tree, possibly a Morton Bay Fig, which might be in a nearby park. I remember it as a calm read, and I would like to use it in the classroom.

Its probably a late 1980s early 1990s book, or at least that when I would have read it.

I especially like Gail Jones..she is really wonderful.

There are some great Australian authors that you have missed Angie!
