I'm reading The Pale Blue Eye A Novel by Louis Bayard. As often happens, I had this one on my shelf for awhile, bought the novel he wrote after this, The Black Tower, read and enjoyed it, and then picked up the one I'd had the longest to read. Both are excellent historical fiction/mysteries.
Reading A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris. It's her short story collection of Sookie short stories.
I just finished The Woman in Black A Ghost Story by Susan Hill, a great ghost story. I'm now reading Sherlock in Love A Novel by Sena Jeter Naslund.
I just finished The Day the Falls Stood Still. I loved the Niagara Falls setting and history of it entwined into the story.
I finished Swindle, a YA book by Gordon Korman. I actually got to just sit down and read it through yesterday without interruptions. As usual for Korman, it was a humorous great little story.
I just finished Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger. Great ghost story. 4, maybe 4 1/2 stars.
I ended up really enjoying Case Histories A Novel by Kate Atkinson, so I've moved on to the next one in the Jackson Brodie series, One Good Turn.

Good to hear you like it. I plan on getting to it eventually. My favorite so far is Saving Fish from Drowning A Novel.

Beth, I was in the same boat as you with The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey. I loved the subject matter, but it seemed to take me forever to read the short, 200-page book.
Yeah, Jessica, I had the Larson book sitting on my bookshelf forever and finally read it due to my sister-in-law reading it and urging me on.
