I'm reviewing books on my blog that are published in 2008 and just wanted to share the titles so you would know about them.
Time is When by Beth Gleick
A longer picture book to teach preschoolers the concept of time.
The Dragonfly Secret by Barbara L. Gibson
A sad tale about a dragonfly who communicates with a dead boy to tell his parents that he's okay.
Little Bit and Big Byte by Craig T. Feigh
Cute story for the computer savvy kid
The Tutu Ballet by Sally O' Lee
Cute story for the ballet lover
The Princess Who Had Almost Everything by Mireille Levent and Josee Masse
Great story for over 4s who like books about royalty.
Chicken, Pig, Cow by Ruth Ohi
Cut story about toy animals who come to life.
I don't really like wordless books. When we read word books we don't stick to just the words. We expand on everything we see, pointing out everything and describing everything. For some reason with wordless books I can't think of what to say.
A book with no real story, just one word every few pages is Hug by Jez Alborough.
My daughter really likes Halloween Countdown by Jack Prelutsky.
Big Pumpkin is by far my favourite Halloween picture book. I also agree that the recording is awesome!
Clifford's Halloween is good too.
