You are so right :) But it's interesting and fun to see what books work for some of us and not for others.

I don't know why every book I have picked up lately has some pretty serious issues to them lol. But you may like the ones I didn't like and hate the ones I did....not every book is for every reader!!

LOL We might be opposites. It seems that I'm usually odd man out on the highly rated/praised books. I didn't like the The Handmaid's Tale because of the writing style(poorly written) and to me it was just rather dull/boring.

LOL I missed the boat too on the Twilight Series. That was one of the worst written series of books I have ever read. I just couldn't take "You're so handsome" "But I'm not right for you Bella" How many times did the author have to say that...I got it already now can we move on to something else...ok "You smell so good" "But I'm not right for you"...here we go again GEEEESHHHHHH LOL

I'm still struggling with this one. I'm trying to finish it because it was recommended to me through a challenge otherwise I think it would be a DNF. It's just not a book for me I guess:( Glad you enjoyed it :)

I don't like his descriptions of people either. I don't like his writing style and I really don't think his story telling ability is all that great especially with the book being ridden with cliches and the characters/plot being so flat and one dimensional. But I'm glad you are enjoying it!!!

I am only like 40 or 50 pages in. I'm hoping that it gets better as I'm still really bored with this book. I can only read a few pages at a time until I find my mind wandering LOL

I have this one on my TBR but since I have just started reading A Thousand Splendid Sunsand so far not really caring for it I may or may not read this one :( I don't really care for the author's writing style as I think he writes rather poorly for such highly praised books : (

I haven't read Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth or The Fault in Our Stars by John Green yet but must completely agree with you about Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James. I didn't like the Twilight Series for the same reason...very poorly written and is that really the type of character that teenage girls should idolize?

65746 I just started A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and for some reason it's not holding my interest. I am finding it boring as I don't like the writing style....I think it's very poorly written. The characters are flat and one dimensional and so far I haven't been able to like or connect with them. It's full really old cliches and lots of stereotypes which I'm also finding a little annoying :( Does it get any better????? I'm wondering what the hype is on this one and if I'm reading the same book everyone else did.

I agree Esther. It seems just about every YA book being published right now is in a series and they are coming at you faster than you can get them on your TBR. As far as libraries, I have had the problem of they have part of a series either because the books were lost, damaged, never returned and the library never replaced the missing books...**sighs**

@ Dean I agree...it is nice to read just a stand alone novel sometimes but Good Luck finding them. It's almost like looking for a needle in haystack LOL

65746 I'm reading Dead until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris and Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld

I too have noticed that a lot of series books now have the series name & number at the very top of the spine...especially in the historical, christian fiction and christian romance. It would be nice if all genres put this info on the spines.

A few years ago I started reading Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series and every time I would look up on the internet what order they went in and then DUHHHHH??? it hit me like a ton of bricks when a friend pointed out how obvious it was to tell LOL .

#1 was 16 Lighthouse Road
#2 was 204 Rosewood Lane
#3 was 311 Pelican Court

the first number of the address is the number in which it falls in the series. I thought that was kind of a neat way of doing but it would have been nice if I knew that from the get go LOL
