I'm celebrating because yesterday we picked up Zydeco from the Humane Society. He's a six year old Golden Retriever who is partially blind and partially deaf. We lost our beloved 12 year old Blue (alab/Golden mix who we raised from a pup) a few weeks ago. Didn't mean to get another dog so soon, but he came in as a stray and really needed us. I think maybe we really need him, too! But the real cause for celebration will be on Thursday, when he can be bathed and groomed. The pound neutered him without bathing him, and that is one rank canine!

Mine is March 1 - I missed being a leap year baby by two hours!
