56898 Oh, I lied. I don't have a tracking number.
But, theoretically it will be here soon :)
Dec 12, 2014 11:39AM

56898 Nothing yet, but I have a tracking number, so it must be coming.

56898 me please!

56898 I am hoping that I will have Mortal Heart soon.
My library still doesn't have it in circulation, so I've been in place three since it came out.
But my grandma's has three copies. I started in position 58 and I am now in 8.
So I should have it soon.

56898 I still don't know what the plan is today. Should I?

Thanks john. Sorry for a late response; I completely forgot about this.
I will do Shiver, as I have been meaning to read it for quite some time.

For you I pick:
In the Forests of the Night
Or you can do:
Soulless or Anna Dressed in Blood

56898 nothing is sacred. 84-88% is well. Sheri, avoid it. it's hell.

56898 On her tumblr, she is already planning her next book, a standalone, Darknovel.
She said that the fourth one is named, although the name hasn't been announced.
And she is currently writing it, of course.
Sometime in 2015 is all that we have so far

56898 No idea.
But I know that this book is soooo good.
And I don't know how I can possibly wait for the next one.

I adore her. I cried today, and yet still ... it's such sweet pain.

The whole Fate question always gets me. Can we change..."

Well, but Gansey is supposed to die within this year.

Also, as Blue said, the future is kinda determined by the choices made knowing the future?

56898 I don't understand how you can keep up listening. do you put them on 2xs speed?

56898 Some of my favorite parts so far:

She was gauzy, immaterial, something blown between these boulders and caught upon one of them.

Group projects, in general, were not her thing.

Although she was kind, she wasn’t nice.

Time and space were bathtubs that Maura splashed in.

It was impossible to tell a joke when you were alone.

If everything around Gansey was soft-edged and organic, faded and homogenous, Ronan was sharp and dark and dissonant, standing out in stark relief from the woods.

It was a thought turned on its side, a door left cracked in her mind.

It was hard to remember, sometimes, that he’d lived a life before they’d met him.

He had spackled confidence too heavily over his anxiety for it to be invisible.

“Coincidence,” echoed Adam, dubious. What was this thing, this huge thing?

Ronan was always saying that he never lied, but he wore a liar’s face.

Now his snarl was back, which meant he was hurting.

How ungrateful they’d become, how greedy for better wonders.

although she’d preferred her unicorn non-gendered.

they were all in love with one another.

Blue was perfectly aware that it was possible to have a friendship that wasn’t all-encompassing, that wasn’t blinding, deafening, maddening, quickening. It was just that now that she’d had this kind, she didn’t want the other.

He was so much more dangerous when he wasn’t angry

56898 Leigh wrote: "Gansey is the glue that binds this interesting cast of characters together. She Can Not kill him!

Blue does love all the boys. They are family."

But we know she will.
She's a genius.
It's like... the first thing she told us.
And she still has us railing against it, saying It Cannot Be So.

56898 Do you think that Gansey's plan to bring Noah back will work?

What about if that same plan could be used for Gansey?

Then again, he's already been spared once.

What about the Dittley plot? Will it be Greenmantle? The "curse"/ ley line? Something else entirely?
Dec 02, 2014 02:53PM

56898 ok, i caught up. I can't believe how many characters she can juggle.

What are you guys thinking?

I've read on her tumblr in the past about her portrayal of poverty and the way we think of the poor. The class issues that run through every part of these books is so, so important I think. I can't imagine what the story would be if they didn't exist.

I'm just in awe of her.

here are some things I wonder about.
1) the three sleepers - guesses?
2) Gansey's ever-impending death
3) Ronan - Gray - Greenmantle resolution
4) Noah. I <3 him. It's weird that he is in some ways the most dynamic, even though he's 'static' (dead)

There was a passage where Blue was thinking about how she loved each of the boys and they all loved each other? It was perfect. It's also how I feel about these books.

I can go a long time without thinking about them and then .. wham. When I am reading them, they are so powerful.

56898 She's so good at creating flawed but likeable characters.
everyone is a caricature? but also? everyone is real.

56898 Sheri wrote: "I forgot how much I love Maggie's writing. I love her descriptions and metaphors and such :)"

I know.
I am highlighting all of these beautiful passages and turns of phrase.

It takes me longer to read Maggie's stuff than some, because I want to roll around in the words.
Which is my fancy way of saying I am a bit behind. Hoepfully I will catch up tonight.
