i didn't really care about the political aspect of 'odyssey', but the fact is, it's an uneven, plodding bit of fiction that only moderately kept my interest. definitely my least favorite sci-fi book of the year, anyway.

i agree with tracey. in the past, i re-read books quite often. due to the plethora of interesting books on the market (and my broad tastes), i haven't re-read a book in years.

but like most of you, when i do re-read, it's because there's something truly wonderful about the book. the story, the characters, the prose. sucker for all of 'em, i am.
