51224 I REALLY wanted to know if Jacob was guilty or not. I wasn't sure about Jacob killing Ben but then the pedophile conveniently committed suicide and confessed. (i thought that was a little fishy as soon as i read it and later we find out it was more than likely arranged by the grandfather even though he doesn't come right out and admit it)
When Hope came into the story i knew it was just a matter of time before something bad happened. The book just did not have a happy ending feel to it. Then Hope disappeared. At that point, I started leaning towards Jacob being guilty of both. Seriously, is anyone that unlucky to have people not just dying, but being killed around them?? And, not be freaking out about it??

I agree with others that Lori was definitely a little off her rocker by thinking that his throwing temper tantrums when he was a baby and knocking kids down as a 4 year old are signs that Jacob is a murderer. Andy's blind faith in the face of the damning evidence was also extreme, especially given his career as a prosecutor. Of course Jacob was maladjusted look at his parents. They are each on the extreme end of the scale.

However, I will say that I did not see the ending coming. Guess she felt a moral obligation to rid the world of the monster she helped create.

An epilogue would have been nice to tie up the story.

51224 Im new to the group and as I have already read A Game of Thrones I decided to read the sample for Chosen earlier today. It sounded like it would be really good so I bought it and so far (16% in)I'm very intrigued.

What I don't understand yet, is why Emma is so hostile and angry. Granted her situation at this point in the story is less than stellar but the open hostility towards Will and even her son Jake at times is unclear.
