I know I have to be careful when I rant against the book so that no one who's reading it will get mad because I spoiled the ending.
Jen said: "You all NEED to read The Book Thief.
It is no joke, the BEST FREAKING BOOK EVER.
I finished it on Sunday and I'm still thinking about it."
I read the Book Thief and it made my top five worst books of all time. It was so depressing. And the end felt like a cop-out to me. I won't spoil it for the people that haven't read it, but it's definitely not going to be reread by me. What did you like about it?
if katniss starts acting like bella then i am done with this series. but I think the likelyhood of that happening isn't very strong.
I think Katniss will fight hard regaurdless of whether Peeta or Gale die because enough people close to her have died that she would definitely have enough inspiration to keep going.
If Katniss dies there's a good chance that Peeta might kill himself. Because then his nightmares would become reality and he couldn't bare that. I think Gale would keep going though for his family.
yeah if Haymitch does die my guess is he would say something synical as he's dying... probably like stay alive or something.
They are children books, but they get more mature as the books progress. There is definitely a lot of violence in them, as the Hunger Games has, however in the Underland Chronicles it's mainly rat against human, rather than kid against kid. They sound weird but I would definitely recommend them, keeping in mind that the beginning of the first book isn't nearly as good as the rest.
The main character's sort of best friend died... and a lot of semi-significant characters. I guess I could see Haymitch making a sacrifice, but I still feel like Haymitch will live, just to say a killer line to Katniss when it's all over.
I don't think Haymitch would die. In Collins' previous series, the Underland Chronicles, there was a character like Haymitch that didn't die, you just thought he died but then he ended up alive in the last chapter of the book. I actually think Gale or Peeta will die but I'm not sure which one. If one had to die that would be a tough decision for the author to make because it seems like the audience is pretty split on which boy they like better.
Who do you think will die in the 3rd and final book of the trilogy? Like with the final Harry Potter, we know some characters' deaths are inevitable, I was just curious to see who you thought would take the bullet.
Apparently if the movie does end up happening, Collins will adapt the book for the screen herself, as she has a screen-writing bakcground.
I think the date's been moved up to September 1st according to wikipedia. But who knows if that's accurate.
As far as I know...
