I heard the catching fire ARCs were being given out this month. Anyone in the publishing industry that's heard about this?

Is the lottery any good? would anyone recommend this if I liked the hunger games? Someone had said on a blog that it reminded them of the handmaid's tale and this couldn't be more far off. I read that book and it was MUCH more adult like and kind of disturbing actually. The only similarity I saw at all was that it was a distopian novel.

After reading the twilight books I really had trouble finding a book that emotionally drew you in the way her books do. When she recommended the hunger games I initially pushed it off and tried a few other books first but eventually I broke and bought this one. I'm so glad I did b/c it was one of the best books I've read in SUCH a long time! I made sure to check reviews on here first as well and it didn't disapoint.

Where did people hear that the 2nd book would be called catching fire? I can't wait for this to come out! I'm so curious as to what angle it will take. Will it be the next step or perhaps the same as the first book but from Gale and their families perspectives? I really tried to analyze the name to get a sense. In the hunger games "fire" was supposed to be symbolic of Katniss so "catching fire" could imply a lot of possible outcomes. Anyone have any ideas? All I know is that the love triangle needs to develop!

I definately would have said the giver meets lord of the flies. Lord of the Flies really shows that nature mentality of youth being put in a situation like this "out in the wild" so to speak. This was obviously more set up but I found it so different than anything I've ever read. It was a great mashup in a way. I have to admit that the romance twist really caught me as well. I am fully anticipating a full on Peeta/Gale/Katniss love triangle!
