I loved the fact that in the last episode, Daniel took the time to explain how the whole crash happened and all that, I mean we sort of knew, but it was nice that he put it out there in black and white for us.
Maybe they want to have a movie or a mini-series every so often after the fact and fill us in the future, sort of what was the plan with the X-Files.
LOL! You have made me want to read that book ... great review. So what was the connection with the show?
I feel somewhat dissapointed to see Sawyer so identified with the Dharma people now, he says he's one of them and everything ... just a blah point on a great character.
I.can.not.wait.for.the.next.episode!
I like that idea that the shooting is the last drop, the event that pushes Ben over the edge, I mean in his eyes he's trying to help Sayid only to be shot by him and left for dead ... if that doesn't kill your hope in people, what can? So, when he recovers he's just determined to seek revenge.
Lori ... the people in the Island (in Atlantis) didn't age like other people do the girl Kira, is a little over 100 and looks in her late teens, a-la Richard ... and the Island moved from one place to another, that is what I meant.
Hey guys the girls and I always watch a movie in the afternoons after homework (we all hate commercials and the only "TV" they watch is Dancing with the Stars and AI) and today Gabriella brought up a movie we had not seen in a long time, Atlantis and I got to tell you the premise of the movie and the show have tons of coincidences ... the guy who sends the expedition is named Whitmore! and the main guy is name Milo (Miles?), and Atlantis is an island that produces it's own source of energy through this "stone idols", they have different stations through out the island ... and ... the island can move through time. ;o)
That was cool. Although I must say I thought it was Anubis, not Horus, represented on the statue. I thought I saw ears on it, and Anubis (who was a jackal and could take the human with a jackal's head apereance) was the God of the mummification process, the protector of the dead and the God who walked the righteous to the afterlife. If the island was indeed the afterlife then it would tie in nicely. If the statue were Horus, with a falcon's head (the God of the sky, protector of Egypt and base for most of the much later Jesus stories) then we would have to go with the Promise land/chosen people theory.
For now we have been watching Life on Mars, and with the girls Dancing with the Stars and American Idol ;o)
Did any of you guys watched that new show with the girl from Bring it On? We watched the pilot, liked it but I can't remember neither the name or the time it was on ...
8. The Little Prince
I loved this story as a child, thanks again Lori for making that link available. I find this very relevant because of the space travel, different worlds kind of thing, leaving because you are looking for something only to realize you had it all to begin with ... really cute.
BTW ... I didn't have this book on my LOST spreadsheet, when did they add it? Also, what book was Sawyer reading last night?
The most confusing thing of it all, it's that the people that came back to the island came to what? The 70's but three years after they left the island?
So ... when they left they spent three years away, but in the island only three days had passed, John leaves to tell them that, only now that they are back three years have really passed, but they are back in the 70s? Man, I'm confused!
I have always thought that too, like in the wizard of Oz kind of thing ... someone we know is behind "Jacob".
