I read books on my bed too. But then again, I also watch movies, surf the net, and at times study in bed. Now I'm sounding like a lazy bum, lol. But it's the most comfortable place in this small room that the university provides. Mostly I like to read before sleeping. Funny how my eyes could resist sleep when reading a novel but always give in to temptation when reading textbooks.
60- saya ingat saya je yang suka overreact bila orang pinjam buku saya tak pulang2. ok la, takde la rasa sampai nak bunuh orang, but the feeling is rather close :p
65 + 66 sangat betul. haha.. selalu tak tahu bila masa la nak habiskan buku2 yang banyak tu tapi still pinjam & beli jugak. I think I'm addicted to buying books.

hmm.. I don't know. For me, MPH kat Mid Valley tak berapa best sangat. Kalau pergi Mid and nak cari buku, I prefer going to Borders kat The Gardens which is sebelah Mid je. Bigger space, tempat duduk pun provided, and kalau semua kerusi dah occupied, boleh dengan selesanya duduk atas lantai since ada carpet and the space between the shelves pun luas.
Hye everyone! OMG.. dah lama betul tak masuk GR ni. Busy sangat punya pasal. Ni pun my final exam is just in 2 days time T_T
Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya everyone. Mintak maaf sangat2 kalau ada terbuat salah, terlepas cakap, terbuat any of you terasa dan yang sewaktu dengannya. Selamat beraya :)
ps: FB? lol. ni copy paste ke ape?
From the minority's POV: Di unversiti ini, kami belajar menggunakan bahasa Inggeris. Lagipun, most of the reference books are in English. About the argument that these students do not need to use these references, well, sure, they don't NEED to. But some (again, most probably the minority) would WANT to. My brother actually found it easier to understand physics by reading my College Physics book which is written in English. There are more detailed explanations than the (useless) school textbook. Understanding helps a lot in instilling interest on the subject.
I can't find anything wrong with 'rojak'. Of course la, it's wrong grammar-wise, tapi isn't that an identity? Where else could you find people who speaks 'rojak'? Do we really need to speak perfect English with thick British accent among ourselves if we could understand rojak perfectly? We don't even use immaculate BM in our daily conversations. Fine, so exam is a formal thing. But we could slowly convert the students. That could always be implemented later.
Tapi jangan la pandang kesan jangka masa pendek sahaja. It was like my last chemistry lecturer. She was so strict and she liked to ask us questions in classes and we had to answer without referring to the books. And it was organic chemistry with lots of equations to remember. We all dreaded her class. Memang pening otak nak study malam sebelum tu. Tapi bila nak study untuk exam, memang lagi senang sebab dah hafal awal2. Besides, kalau tak nak menyusahkan pelajar, why not demolish chemistry ke... add maths ke... Subjek tu tak membebankan ke? What's the point of knowing what reacts with what will produce what? After all, quoting that blog writer, "Not everybody aspires to be a scientist."
But whatever. This is just mine and some of my friends' POV. Yes, we are the minority so our opinions, naturally, don't count. And we're not all good in English anyway. PPSMI tak manyumbang banyak dalam menaikkan taraf BI (still menyumbang, tapi takdelah banyak), tapi ia menyenangkan the transition to university later. To those yang aspire to go into university and take a degree or diploma which involves science la.
This is just my two cents' worth.
Hmmm... what do you guys think? Of course, maybe benda ni sudah tak melibatkan kita secara langsung since I think most of us dah lepas zaman sekolah kan (ke saya salah?). But for myself, I have a younger brother still in school. And not to mention my cousins. And I'm sure all of you pun ada relatives yang still schooling.
So... adakah anda setuju dengan pemansuhan dasar ini?
Sebenarnya, saya agak kurang setuju. The chances yang dasar ini akan dijalankan semula is most probably close to none. Tapi saya still nak tahu your opinions, if you wouldn't mind sharing.
actually baru je start reading agatha christie. ada kawan yg sgt obses with her books, so saya pun try la satu and terus minat. that's only the 2nd book of hers that I've read. wanna recommend some more?
pride and prejudice saya beli the very next day after watching the movie, haha. movie tu pun tengok sebab kena paksa. dah tengok tu, I was kinda surprised to find myself liking it :D
25. Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
26. The Eyes of Darkness - Dean Koontz

Q: This book has: "Fencing. Fighting. Torture. Poison. True love. Hate. Revenge. Giants. Hunters. Bad men. Good men. Beautifulest ladies. Snakes. Spiders. Beasts of all natures and descriptions. Pain. Death. Brave men. Coward men. Strongest men. Chases. Escapes. Lies. Truths. Passion. Miracles."
ps: I'm talking about a specific book here..
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott?
The line sounds familiar, or maybe I only heard it from movies or articles or something and got it mixed up. Don't have that copy with me right now to check.
lol. easy huh?
I'm gonna make a wild guess here: Agatha Christie? Hehe... making everyone the culprit sounds like what she would do.
