46182 Yesterday's Tears

Yesterday's Tears by T.T. Kove

Damian's world is irrevocably altered the night his aunt and uncle are brought into his A&E, victims of a terrible car accident. Grief-stricken and lost, with nowhere else to turn, he calls Josh—the man he loves, and who left him.

Meanwhile Matt does not know how to live in a world where his parents aren't, especially when the rest of his family seems capable of handling it while he wants only to hide from the world. His only solace is Adam, whom he wishes was so much more than the man he occasionally has sex with—and who apparently has been keeping a secret that ruins the only comfort Matt had left.

46182 The Oracle's Flame

The Oracle's Flame by Mell Eight

The Kingdom of Altnoia is on the cusp of civil war. The king and heir have been murdered, the throne taken by their uncle, and the kingdom's only hope lies with Prince Edan who has been missing for the past year. The Oracle appoints her new Dragon of Fire one task: Find Prince Edan and keep him alive.

It should have been a simple task, but Dragon did not anticipate that Prince Edan would hide away on a pirate ship, forcing Dragon not only to endure pirates, but sea-sickness and his fear of water. And nothing, not even the Oracle, could have prepared him for the twins and the complicated feelings they spark.

46182 Fairytales Slashed: Vol 5

Fairytales Slashed 5

Seven tales, familiar and new, where nothing and no one is precisely what it seems, and where it will take more than determination and magic to set all to rights again ...

Part of Your World (Jamie Sullivan) is the tale of a man adrift, his dreams of music all but lost, and his only solace found in taking his boat out to sea for a few hours. Deep beneath the water, the lonely Ren looks up at the surface he is not supposed to breach ...

In Beast (Jamie Sullivan), the very last thing Beau expects to land on his desk is the story of the year: the location of the missing scumbag rockstar Gabriel Fletcher. Eager for the chance at a story that could make his career, he heads off immediately for the remote mansion where Gabriel is rumored to be hiding. But the questions he seeks to ask bring answers he never could have expected ...

The Heart of Evil (Sandra Bard) is the story of Kallum: depressed, broken, his magic burnt out. All he wants is to recover in peace and quiet, an opportunity he hopes he'll get when he agrees to look over his aunt, comatose for the past five years. But his first week in town, Kallum is pressed into service by Nathaniel, who needs his help fighting an evil wizard. And there's Ash, who seems to be anything but the harmless librarian he claims ...

Matter of Perception (Sandra Bard) is the tale of Nathaniel, a young apprentice wizard still trying to get the hang of his powers, worried about his sister and jealous about the relationship between his master and his former brother-in-law. But all that is set aside when he falls into a magical garden from which there is no way out, and his only companion the garden's mysterious caretaker ...

In Memories Lost in Forgotten Time (Cate Enslin), a broken pocket watch and a shop full of junk are all that Colin has left of his lover, Quentin. Behind on the rent, tormented by his landlord, he knows he should sell everything and move on. But memories are not so easily discarded—or trusted.

The Power of a Wish (Sandra Bard) is the tale of a boy forbidden to cut or otherwise alter his hair until he turns twenty-five, on the orders of his strict grandmother. But when he returns home and reunites with an old friend, a seemingly harmless prank goes horribly awry ...

And in The Blind City (Diana Jean), Charley, a lowly librarian's assistant, never expected to be sent out on a quest with the most famous knight in the country. Sir Thaddeus Constantine is strong, honorable, a legend told in countless stories. To spend time with him is a dream come true, especially when Charley realizes that the man behind the knight is far more fascinating than stories ...

M.C. is deeply involved in the world of high stakes spell-craft, determined to carve out a place for herself among the extremely hierarchical and old fashioned world of professional exorcists. Setting does not matter at all. ^__^ So long as it's got elements of a fairy tale, you're set. We're also all for unhappy endings for antagonists, so go ahead and feed 'em to the dragons. ^__~
46182 New collection call -- Proud to Be a Vampire!

Proud to Be a Vampire

Proud to Be a Vampire … Predators do not waste time feeling sorry for the prey. They do not bemoan their hunter nature and pretend they have something in common with those they are meant to hunt. True predators find pleasure in the hunt and satisfaction in the kill. Never are those words truer than with the vampires: they threw away their humanity and defeated even death to become the ultimate predator and hunt with relish the prey they used to be …

Less Than Three Press is seeking stories of vampires who take pride in their nature and thrive on the hunt. This is no collection for stories of whiny vampires who pretend they are still human and fight the call of their inhuman nature. We want stories of vampires who love what they are.

*****

-- Deadline is APRIL 30, 2013 11:59 EST
-- Stories should be 15,000 - 50,000 words
-- M/M or F/F (or three-or-more-somes, so long as all parties are the same gender)
-- Happily ever after or happy for now ending
-- Any sub-genre is gladly accepted (sci-fi, mystery, contemporary, steampunk, etc.)

****

Proud to be a Vampire is a collection of ebooks, meaning each story will be sold as an individual ebook, and readers will also have the option to purchase “bundles” or the entire collection for a reduced rate.

This collection is about vampires who enjoy being vampires. All stories must have a strong tie to this theme. We are looking for creative stories featuring vampires who do not spend of the book whining, sulking, bitching, and crying about the fact they are vampires.

Standard ebook royalties will apply. Authors will receive one copy each of the ebook formats LT3 produces and two copies of the paperback compilation.

46182 They sell day passes -- they stop pre-registration so they have time to create the pre-reg passes and get everything set up without having to worry about going back and adding people in. My day job conference does go back and add people in after we do the initial printing of name tags and other conference materials and it can be time consuming. Y-con is about 10 times the size of the work conference, so they probably don't have the time/people to print materials after the initial setup.
