Personally I love the futuristic-ness. It's funny when Eve won't use a vending machine because she thinks it's talking to all the other vending machines and they're against her. And in Promises in Death it was funny when Roarke gave Eve her own vechicle and she was like a kid with a new toy.
I have to say my most recent favorite was in Promises in Death where Eve gets her new car. I just love her reaction: "HOT DAMN!" And then she's doing donuts in the drive way (by the way I sooooo want that house!).
Another favorite is a tear-jerker, Survivor in Death: It's when Nixie goes to the morgue and sees her family....TALK ABOUT TEARS! I cried for a good five minutes before I could continue reading!
