4407 Lily, I agree...I have been looking for the book since I saw the movie several months back and finally located it at Borders. Can't wait to read it, but have to get some other books out my way first. It is such an anticipated read I almost don't want to ruin the excitement by reading it...

4407 After following this thread....not sure about Martyrs. Two much drama in real life right now. Might have to put that one on extended hold. Did watch LTROI again earlier. Can't rave enough about it....but we can talk about that in the appropriate thread!

4407 Glad to see this ongoing discussion. I think this film is definitely one of the best of the last decade...it is still sitting with me and I watched it back in November.

4407 Phillip said: "yeah, but that was the last time one of his endings took me by surprise."

I have to agree with you there. I keep watching his films in hopes that he'll get it right again, but to no avail (yet?). I know we have had this discussion before...

4407 Dave, I saw that I can buy the whole collection of MoH for $70 in an ad on Sunday and I thought...no thanks.

4407 Rob, doesn't that just gripe you! I make it in here about once a month and here I get #666...There's always other topics...now it's going to be my new goal **evil laugh**

4407 Went to see Haunting in Connecticut last night/this morning. Okay...based on a true story.

And, again, it has been ages, nice to see everyone and the newer faces that I haven't met.

I love that this is the 666th post...

4407 I saw Underworld as well. Enjoyed it, but didn't think it was the best of the 3 as it has been touted. I also saw The Uninvited on opening night and was intrigued by all the twists and turns in the plot. It really was a descent film.

4407 REC was a great film. Quarantine followed it almost exactly scene-by-scene.

4407 Thanks, Phillip. Had the service today, it was very nice. We have another family member and a couple of close friends that are dealing with terminal illnesses right now as well and hoping that they will all pull through in some way or another.

4407 I haven't been on lately....life, kids...anyway, I did go and see The Unborn opening night. Lame, but enjoyed some of the special effects. I was planning on seeing Underworld tonight with my mom, but we had a death in the family, so we are postponing it until next Friday. I think I'll make it a double feature and see The Uninvited as well.

4407 Emily, Ghost Story is great and I would recommend Session 9 as well. I haven't seen Crawlspace yet although I want to. I'll have to download it...

4407 Oh, Rob, I know what you mean!! Of course, we have all been addicted to Guitar Hero around here.

4407 I'm going to have to look for "LTROI". The movie was spectacular.

4407 Finished up A House Divided by Deborah LeBlanc. The first book I've read by her and I was impressed. I will be reading her other books as well. It had a good plot and some frightening scenes. It had the potential to be a bit more scary, but altogether a good read.

4407 I am currently reading about the making of Evil Dead...what a hoot!

4407 Phillip, this was the best movie I have seen in a while. Cinematography was spectacular and the storyline...I just don't know what to say. Thank you for the recommendation, it was well worth waiting for it to download!

I did see a lot of traditional vampire lore woven into this film, it just isn't blatantly displayed or even talked about.

4407 In case anyone is interested, I am currently reading Bruce Campbell's autobiography titled If Chins Could Kill and it is a riot. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan!!

4407 Jill, I am with you on that. I do not have a single friend or family member who enjoys horror, so I am always going to the movies by myself or watching them at home alone. So I come here to connect with other horror enthusiasts.

So, I just got home from Twilight, which would maybe only classify as horror because it has vampires in it, but I am a sucker for a good vampire story and I recently read the book, so I decided to go see it (I prefer seeing films on opening night...). It followed the book fairly well. You will recognize lines from the story in the script. There were a few things that were changed, but they didn't deter from the overall storyline. It ended up being a little funnier than I expected although the book does have some humor, I just overlooked it while focusing on the relationship between Bella and Edward. Not the movie of the year, but worth seeing if you're a Twilight fan.

4407 Just finished downloading. I'll try and watch it tomorrow.
