Claudia, this group is not by any means an exhaustive list of romance series. The series only get listed here if one of our members has read it and chose to take the time to create the list. From what I can tell, Knight in Shining Armor is part of The Montgomery series, but the author has no website and without her input it seems that nailing down the actual ordering of the series can be a little tricky.
FictionDB has it listed as #10: http://www.fictiondb.com/author/jude-dev...
FantasticFiction has it listed as #16: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/d/jude...
I'm certainly no expert on Jude Deveraux's books. I've only read one many years ago. Perhaps there is someone else here or on the historical or time travel romance groups who has actually read it and can address how it fits into the series and/or if it works as a stand-alone.
Armed & Dangerous - Cheyenne McCraySuper hot, but not quite erotic, western romances with a light suspense element. I believe these are re-titled versions of her former Wild series.
1. Zack
2. Luke (coming 10/27/09)
3. Clay (not released)
4. Noah (not released)

Erotic Duet - Hannah Murray
This is a untitled series featuring two pairs of best friends. The first book definitely falls into the erotic romance category, but the second is more of a steamy contemporary.
1. Jane and the Sneaky Dom
2. The Devil and Ms. Johnson

Texas Trilogy - Lorraine HeathThe three Leigh brothers on the wild Texas frontier find the women of their dreams.
1. Texas Destiny
2. Texas Glory
3. Texas Splendor

NY Girlfriends - Erin McCarthy
About four girlfriends who begin the series as roommates. The author's website says that the series has been temporarily suspended, and the last book came out in 2006. I'm not sure if she will finish it or not.
1. The Pregnancy Test
2. You Don't Know Jack

Men of Rogues Hollow - Donna KauffmanA contemporary series about the four Morgan brothers from Rogues Hollow, West Virgina.
1. Baby, It's Cold Outside (from Jingle Bell Rock anthology)
2. Exposed (from Bad Boys Next Exit anthology)
3. Catch Me if You Can
4. Making Waves (from Merry Christmas, Baby anthology)

I changed the publication date on the book page to 9/22/09. Isis, if you get a chance, would you change it here please?
Isis, just wanted to let you know that this series is still active, and you should probably add book #7, An Echo in the Bone. It isn't published, and according to Diana Gabaldon's website, she doesn't even have a publication date yet. Still, from everything I've heard, I'm guessing it will probably be coming out sometime within the next year.
The Nerd Series - Vicki Lewis Thompson
Romantic comedy series featuring nerd heroes. From everything I've read the series doesn't have inter-connecting characters or plots, just the nerd theme.
1. Nerd in Shining Armor
2. The Nerd Who Loved Me
3. Nerd Gone Wild
4. Gone with the Nerd
5. Talk Nerdy to Me
6. Nerds Like It Hot
7. My Nerdy Valentine

ContemporaryFallen from Grace by Laura Leone
--Ryan Kinsmore - male prostitute (the most atypical hero I think I've ever read)
HistoricalThe Bride Thief by Jacquie D'Alessandro
--Samantha Briggeham - Plain, wears glasses, prefers scientific pursuits over balls
The Sisters Waskowitz - Kathleen CreightonThis is a Silhouette Intimate Moments series centering around the three Waskowitz sisters and the one sister's best friend.
1. One Christmas Knight
2. One More Knight
3. One Summer's Knight
4. Eve's Wedding Knight
ContemporarySome Enchanted Season by Marilyn Pappano
--Maggie McKinney - Severely scarred from a car accident and has partial amnesia
Thanks for info about The Beginning, Kim. I've been trying to trade for a copy of the edition of Sins of the the Night that had the story in it, but now that I know that it's in Acheron, I'll probably just stick with the one I have. It definitely makes sense now that SK would eliminate that one from the list. I haven't gotten very far in the DH series yet. It will be one of my many reading projects for 2009.
Looks like the only ones that were eliminated were:The Beginning (included in Sins of the Night)
A Dark-Hunter Christmas (Included in Dance with the Devil)
Maybe that's because they are such short stories (The Beginning is 30 pages and DH Christmas is 15 pages) that they don't really even qualify as novellas, more like missing chapters, and it isn't really crucial at what point in the series you read them or if you do at all. Also, I think they are only available in certain editions of the books in which they were originally included, and those editions are out of print making them difficult to find. I discovered this when I borrowed a copy of Sins of the Night from the library just to read The Beginning and then traded for a copy on PBS that didn't have the short story in the back.
Also it looks like The DH Companion was eliminated which I guess would make sense since it isn't really part of the storyline of the series, just extra info.
It can definitely be frustrating when an author renumbers their work, but I recently heard somewhere that SK does this periodically. From everything I know, the website is definitely legit, and SK herself has done a lot of the design work on it.
Diana Gabaldon's new book will be titled An Echo in the Bone. According to her website, best case scenario is that the book will be released by the end of next year, but GR has the release date listed as March 2010.
