41828 Debbie Macomber has a lot of novels set around winter/Christmastime. I enjoyed Mrs. Miracle. That was a cute, quick read!

41828 I read this book several years ago, it was her first novel. I loved it and it made me a huge fan of hers! Hope everyone is really enjoying it!

Fun Summer Reads (31 new)

41828 I actually enjoy Chick lit type reads during the summer, but there are also some non-fiction fun ones that make good and enjoyable summer reads, too (totally nothing heavy, just relaxed and fun!) so I'll share both:

Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank: And Other Words of Delicate Southern Wisdom

We're Just Like You, Only Prettier: Confessions of a Tarnished Southern Belle

Barefoot

A Summer Affair

On Folly Beach

On my TBR list for this coming summer:

Life's a Beach
Still Summer
Folly Beach: A Lowcountry Tale

41828 Does it count if they're on my "to-read" shelf and on the "read" shelves of friends? ;)

I loved that book, but I love her stuff! I haven't yet read The Peach Keeper, but her work all has that same light and fun appeal. :)

I have reviews up for most (possibly all!) of those so far, but I can review and tell you which I liked the best if you want! I also am about to update my list a bit, too.

41828 A book I would love to add for future consideration is The Invisible Bridge. It is by Julie Orringer. It is in my to read list as my sister-in-law read it with her book club and they enjoyed it. Just a suggestion! (sorry, still figuring out how to add the links and covers, I usually just write the text in my goodreads posts!)

41828 Hi, ladies! Love the name and the book for this month is on my to-read list, as is the next one, so although I have a few Goodreads clubs I belong to, and one real life book club, I figured I would jump on in.

Thanks for having me and I look forward to getting to know you all better and talk a lot of books! ;)
