My bad, I guess my pick would be for February. I saw that the person between Terri and I had zero posts, so didn't think they would be picking a book.
Looking forward to reading One For Sorrow for January. :)
I finished reading this last weekend. I thought it was well-written and I liked the selkie theme. On the other hand, the incest was gross and I just couldn't empathize with the main character.
Oh well, guess I was the only one who enjoyed it. I read a couple of books a few years ago by him but didn't like them. But after reading this one, I decided to give his books another try. I ordered his Book of the New Sun books, which are supposed to be some of his best works.
I liked all of the stories, but these were my favorites...The Waif, The Legend of Xi Cygnus, The Wrapper, and Queen.
I see it's on the listopia list, if that's what you mean.
I think listopia has been having some bugs lately, I tries to create a new list this morning but had trouble adding books to it.
I started reading Innocents Aboard yesterday, and I'm about halfway through. So far I'm enjoying the stories. I like the blend of myth and the supernatural that he involves in his storylines.
I started a listopia list on best mythic fiction. I thought it would be fun if we all could add books and vote for our favorites on it.
The Best of Mythic Fiction
I'll join. I ordered some books from bookcloseouts last night, and they had Innocents Aboard available.
I've already read Mortal Love, but I may give Innocents Abroad a try. I've read a couple of his books....Peace and Wizard-Knight. To be honest I wasn't too impressed by them, but I keep hearing he's a good writer and maybe they weren't his best.
