I've owned this book for awhile now and hadn't cracked it open so I was pleased that it was this months choice because it gave me a chance to finally get around to it. My favorites were Grace Notes, The Gypsies in the Wood, and The Kelpie. I'm not usually a huge fan of humorous and cutesy fantasy. I like my faeries dark or mysterious but I enjoyed everything in this collection. I really liked Grace Notes even though it kind of falls into the cute category.

Hi. I just finished this book. (I'm sort of reading these books scattered between others and out of order) It is the first thing I've read of McKillip other than a short story. I will be reading more her stuff. In fact I'm about to start Solstice Wood which is supposed to be sort of sequel to this one.I love this kind of fantasy writing. It is so ethereal and atmospheric it almost put me in a trance. And though I agree with the other reviewers about the antagonist not being well developed, it didn't bother me too much. I was more into the writing than the story.
I read this book a couple years ago. I thought it was lovely. There is something... soft about the story.
OOh. I saw this book awhile back and thought almost bought it. It looks good. I'm pretty behind with this list though so it might take me awhile to get to it. The next one I want to read from the list is Mortal Love I think.
