40140 My New Years resolutions are:

Don't let difficult stuff in my life eat me up inside before I deal with it
Don't let little things become huge problems in my head
Be conscious of the beautiful little things I encounter every day
Read a little bit more
Go to at least one pilates class every week
Eat healthy

Happy New year everyone!

40140 Okay, that's clear: I'm a complete hoarder. I think I own about 150 books, so my bookshelves are getting really crowded. And because I keep collecting I am a little worried what my house looks like in twenty years time... ;)
But I have to say that - allthough I love piles of books all through the house - ebooks are great for keeping these piles in control! :)

40140 I would like a room, not too big, with books from the floor to the ceiling. A huge chair where I can curl up in and a nice little fireplace.
Gosh, that would be so cool...
(instead, I only have ine room at the moment...)

40140 Well, I am on Twitter and loving it! But...I only twitter in Dutch so that is really not interesting for you, I'm afraid. lol
40140 I didn't really like this book. First of all, the idea of telling the story from the perspective of a dog is good, but this dog Enzo was quite unbelievable to me. He was way too smart for my taste which kept me from really getting absorbed in the story.

Second of all, the bits about car racing were not my cup of tea. I'm not at all interested in cars or racing and those bits were just standing between me and the storyline of Denny en Zoë. Also the comparison between racing and life were a bit farfetched for my taste.
40140 The Three Musketeers – Alexandre Dumas X
The Iliad – Homer X
The Little Prince – Antoine De Saint-Exupery X
The Color Purple – Alice Walker X
Dracula – Bram Stoker X
Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen X
1984 – George Orwell X
Wuthering Heights – Emily Bronte X

I have only read 8.... I need to live for a long time to catch up with this list... ;)

40140 Hi!
I'm Evelien, a Dutch 27-year old television researcher. Like to read literature, thrillers, and chicklit, and pretty much anything else I can lay my hands on...

I just recently discoverd goodreads.com and I'm looking forward to reading with you!

Currently I am reading a thriller by a Dutch author, Linda Jansma. This is her debut and it already won a big Dutch thriller award and so far I have to say it is a good read.

Greetings from Holland to y'all! :)
