ah Ok. I hate character sacrafices. I just got done a similar book that had one and was upset.

I did not read the first book either. But I really like her writing. Alot of series I have been reading lately,the first books I haven't been so crazy about but i keep reading and it just gets better. so I say stick with it. I loved them
