390 About 1/3 through Pack Challenge Pack Challenge (Magnus Pack #1)

390 Anita, I wasn't flaming her (don't know her work well enough to do so), just responding to the article and how she came across (which to me was poorly). If the quote is accurate, it doesn't strike me as a good marketing move for an author.

390 Started Bengal's Heart last night. Liking it so far.

390 Talk about turning off potential readers. Jeez. LKH comes across as a jerk in that snippit. I've never read her -- just never appealed to me. Comments like that sure don't make me want to give her a try.

390 Finished Hot Spell. Really liked Lora Leigh's story and also liked Shiloh Walker's. Now restlessly waiting for Bengal's Heart.

390 Half-way through Hot Spell, but so far have only liked Lora Leigh's entry.

390 I don't generally have the time and like Flibbityfloob, often come in after the series has been out for a good while. However I keep meaning to re-read the Psy-Changeling series because 1. there are enough books with more and more characters that I'm getting confused about who's who and 2. Singh is such a good writer

Many ebooks have nice "covers" but you generally need to seek them out to see them. So it isn't like a paper book that when you put it down, you see the cover. The Kindle just holds your place or you go to your home page where all titles are listed. For the most part I don't miss covers. Actually that can be a bonus with the Kindle as far as some of the goofier/racier covers out there. :-)

Thanks for that tip! I'm fairly new to Goodreads and still learning. Now I see Blue Arms Coyly Crossed Over Naked Torso is actually Blue Moon. :-) Helpful since I read most of my books on Kindle and don't tend to see covers that much.

390 I wonder why the little books aren't linking to anything. I can't always make out what the titles are when just the book is inserted in the message. Today when I click on the books I keep getting the message "The resource you requested doesn't exist. Please check the url again, or go to the home page."

390 Yes, Rhage is a sweetie. But like you, Teresa, I'll take Singh's shifters over Ward's Vamps ('cept maybe Rhage <G>)any day. And Singh's stories and writing over Ward's for that matter. Not that I haven't enjoyed the first three BDB books. It's just I think Singh is an amazing writer.

390 No, no, no, not Wrath (forgive me Your Majesty) --- Rhage!! I love Rhage... and his big dragon too. Rhage is my man/Vamp!

I like Wrath and Z of course, but Rhage has been my favorite. At any rate, I think I'll take a break from the BDB series for now -- my boring non-PNR notwithstanding.

Funny about so far V hasn't cried. Those Big Tough Boys do get teary, don't they? Maybe V's tears come in his own book.

I'm hoping Bending the Rules will pick up. Right now it is so much "Can you believe what a jerk he is? I'm so attracted to him! He's a jerk." With some teen-age delinquents thrown into the mix. :-) I'm almost willing to read a scene with lessers, LOL.

I haven't jumped on the V bandwagon yet. Wrath remains my man, um, Vamp.

Aren't they just? I was thinking that this morning when I did my review of Lover Awakened. I'm reading a contemporary, Bending the Rules & deliberately choose it because I wanted a break from paranormal -- no Vamps, no werewolves, no shifters, no breeds, no
fae -- just regular people. And I'm kinda bored, LOL.

Huh. I stopped before getting to The Master because I was bored with the series and hated whatever her name was from the first book.

390 Any idea if you need to read Storm Born first? I got Thorn Queen free on Kindle and am wondering how confusing it may be to not have read the first book.

390 Alexis wrote: "I love Karen Moning's "Fever" series!!! I can't wait for the next one to come out on August 18th. Are you going to read "Bloodfever" now that you are done with "Darkfever?" "

Definitely, though I really don't like the story line, LOL. I'm not much into Urban Fantasy. But Darkfever was just hypnotic somehow so I think I am sucked into this series. I was surprised when I realized that the book was over (read it on my Kindle). I was that caught up and obviously it wasn't the end of the story.

Glad you are enjoying the series more. I'm starting Lover Awakened tonight. Just finished Darkfever which I really enjoyed. Never read Moning before -- which still strikes me as a bit odd considering how popular she is.

390 From a quick Google, here is a start and I'm sure there are many others out there:

390 I remember going to some website with these kinds of covers but not the actual name of the vendor. Sorry! That is one of the big advantages with the Kindle. No one has to know what I'm reading unless they are hanging over my shoulder.
