I'm so in for this one. I must have 100 books -newest in series (hell some of them are three books back in the series) - that I just haven't gotten around to reading due to other challenges and miscellaneous issues.

I don't remember any mind control either. Though Christine Feehan's Dark series features some mind control. Here series is great but vampires not werewolves.

Rhonda Thompson "Wild Wulfs of London" series starting with The Dark One.
Colleen Shannon The Wolf of Haskell Hall and The Trelayne Inheritance are both terrific.

Lucy Monroe "Children of the Moon" series starting with Moon Awakening.

Started Stray last night. I kept putting this one off but someone wants it as a swap so I had to pick it up. It's interesting but Faythe's father is really getting in my nerves.
Jessie, IMHO her Highlander series is much better than her Fever series. The Fever series bored me to death but the Highlander series kept me riveted to the pages and I added all of them to my keeper shelf. The Fever books I couldn't wait to get rid of.

I agree that of the two J.R. Ward has the better series but Feehan's series is wonderful too though her books all seem to come from the same mold. Don't get me wrong, I love them and have every single one on my keeper shelf.
If you like angel books, Mortal Temptations is one of the better books I've read this year. Also A Mermaid's Kiss.
