Uniquely Moi,I'm sure an author would be able to explain this better than I will but here goes.
These kind of sites will not be shut down. Some of the things being "shared" are legit, like fan fic. However, if you are reading a story for free that is written by a published author, it's likely pirated. When this happens, the author has to send a letter to the site that is "sharing", asking for it to be removed.
After the author jumps through a few hoops, the book (and only the book/s mentioned in the letter)is removed.
Because of this, some authors have stopped writing some series that are e-pubbed. Shiloh Walker is a good example of it. She addresses it in her blog. Here's the link for those interested

I'm not sure if you all realize this but what wattpad is doing is completely illegal. It's violating copyright laws. It's stealing from an author, plain and simple.

Larissa Ione also writes with another author under the pen name Sydney Croft. Another really great series.
I'm glad I'm not alone. I ended up skipping to the end then passed it on to a friend. Maybe she'll get more enjoyment out of it.
Oh! I forgot to mention Jaci Burton's demon series. I'm finishing Surviving Demon Island now, and it is great!
Christine Warren has a large mix of lore characters in her series, with The Demon You Know featuring one.
Maya Banks writes believable poly-relationships. Not all of hers are para but they are all excellent.
Eternal Pleasure is dark, which is kind of new for her. Her earlier books are more humorous. But I really liked it.
Emma Holly is hit or miss for me. I loved Strange Attractions, Fairyville, and All U Can Eat. I did not like the demon series at all.
Spoilers for Unbound and Unchained*****Yes, Lori is dead and Paige was the traitor at the hospital.
Unchained has a whole new traitor.
If I can get home from work in time, I'll definetly be joining. I love her books! Now I just need to think of a question for Larissa that she hasn't already answered, LOL.
You're very welcome! I forgot to mention that there are 2 previous books in that series. The Awakening and Wild Rain. Both are great.
Sans, that's the teaser for Burning Wild by Christine Feehan. It was in the back of Murder Game. It won't be out until April, though.
If I was taking a class in Mayan history, this would be the book to read. It's 15 pages of text book info, followed by 1 page of dialogue, 15 more pages of info, 2 pages of an action scene, back to info. The author is a doctor of molecular genetics, so I expected quite a bit of factual information, but this has my eyes glazing over, kind of like some of my college classes all over again.
The plot is great, but I think it may have lost me somewhere along the way.
I have reached the half way point of this book, and I have to admit, I am bored silly. I really enjoyed the first book of this series, but I just can't get into this one. There seems to be too much information, if that's possible. I feel like I'm reading an encyclopedia. Very dry. The chemistry between the main characters is great, but those scenes are few and far between at this point.
Did anyone else have this problem? Maybe it's just me and I need to read something differant for a while. That happens sometimes. I'm just trying to figure out if I should finish it or stop wasting my time.
Ione also writes with a partner under the pen name Sydney Croft. Another excellent series. And so steamy!
