390 Just started "On the Edge" by Ilona Andrews On the Edge (The Edge, #1)
Nov 09, 2009 06:30AM

390 Currently reading Mr. Darcy, Vampyre...it's definitely an interesting read. So far it's kept my interest and stayed true enough to the characters without me having to scratch my head - however, I hope some sort of understanding or something happens soon...

The canine teeth are where fangs typically are (on a human) and they are the third tooth over from the two front teeth.

Oh no! I guess it's for the best ... I won't start reading it for another day or two. I'm currently reading "Rosemary & Rue" by Seanan McGuire. But I have a feeling that it's going to be well worth the wait - for both of us!

390 Currently reading : Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1)

Pretty good. A dark but more realistic version of the Laurell K. Hamilton world of Fae that has pervaded the market.

390 I got my book early (all that looking around paid off!). BN.com has the book so if you don't want to wait until the 29th ....

So I loved Soulless so much, I finished it today and just ran over to my co-worker's desk and thrust it at her and said "read this"!

So now I've got someone else to read it...they don't call me the Book Pusher for anything :)

I really like Charles de Lint. I've read about three or four of his non-Newford books. My favorite being the one he just released - <1> The Mystery of Grace </i>

I'm going to start on Newford in another year I think. I own the first two collections but I want to spend some time on them and not feel rushed.

Cannot wait to read the next one. I keep looking my bookstore to see if it will get released early (the 27th for me) and so far...no luck.

I can't wait!

Good luck on the exams!!! I can't stop reading either...I basically read standing up on the train this morning, which is usually something I don't like doing but I couldn't stop!

That was actually really good. It had a steampunk/romance/magic/ghost theme. Yes, it is possible to have all in one lol.

You should read it, it's completely worth it :)

So far it's taking me by surprise in the same way as "The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker" and I ended up really liking that book so I can't wait to continue this book. If only I didn't have to work today!

And Adam...I love Adam :)

Me too!

I love the Earl! Right after Adam Hauptman from the Mercy Thompson series I think Maccon is fast becoming my number two male werewolf :)

I'm only to page 43 (just started this morning) but can't wait to get to reading it!

390 Currently reading "Soulless" by Gail Carringer. Had it in my bag the past couple of days and just opened it up today and now I'm hooked.

I've already got a small crush on the Earl and am very interested to see what happens to Alexia :)

Oh man it'll be the best smackdown ever and something that will be sweet sweet justice. Especially with all the stuff that the woman (Magdelene??) has done to Abra over the course of the last two books.

ugh.

390 Reading "The Mermaid's Madness" by Jim C Hines The Mermaid's Madness (Princess, Book 2)

390 new_user wrote: "LOL, she was kind of tyical UF heroine in the second book, wasn't she? With the whole, "Hm, whichever shall I choose?"

I still loved it though."

Yeah but her decisions in Moon Burn were just so much more intensely hurtful than in Better to Hold You.

As a side note, I loved her relationship with her mom and I hope that there is a next one - although, I also wish that Abra beats the tar out of the other were-woman (whose name escapes me)

No! I admit she was a bit too much in the second book but you know what? She was supposed to!

No Adam from the Mercy Thompson series? You can't have Charles but not Adam! :)
Sep 29, 2009 09:37AM

390 hmmm, there are soo many characters to fall for. If I keep it to the Paranormal Romance genre I guess I'd pick Severn from the Elantra Chronicle's series Cast in Silence

Morrison from C.E Murphy's Walker Papers: Urban Shaman

Sergei from the Retriever's Series: Bring It On

Adam from the Mercy Thompson world - Moon Called

Sam and Eric from Sookie's world

Parno from Violette Malan's series: The Sleeping God A Novel of Dhulyn and Parno

Vayl from the Jaz Park's series: Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Joe from the Gordath Wood books: Gordath Wood

Gabriel Sullivan from Gabriel's Ghost and Shade's of Dark: Gabriel's Ghost

I'll cut myself off here :)
