390 I read the BDB series a long time ago! And then again earlier this year in prep for the latest one. I RAVED about these books to my 2 girlfiends who are Twilight and Sookie fans... kept saying "you guys HAVE to read these!" And they both kept saying noooo, we arent interested in "romance novels" Pffft! The other night I get a "drunk dialing" conference call from the 2 of them screaming at me that they have just found this awesome new series that I just have to check out... can ya guess what it was? LOL Heellloooo, why doesnt anyone listen me??? Atleast the BDB has 2 new groupies, even if it did take em awhile lol.

Just had to share... it cracked me up! :P

Currently reading "Covet" by Ward (found on a walmart clearence shelf!) Am hoping it's comparably good.

STILL voting the night huntress series as my fav for hottest scene tho, hands down!

390 I had to trudge my way through this book, even though when it was all said and done, it turned out to be a good story, it was just hard to get through... demons just don't do "it" for me LOL

It did take me a little bit to get hooked into the first book. I really didn't think I was going to enjoy it at first, but once the plot started to unfold I couldn't put it down.

390 I just finished the 2nd Aisling Grey, Guardian novel(by Katie Macalister). I am addicted to this series. It's funny, and reminds me a lot of the Sookie novels in the way it's written. Not overly sexual, good plots. I'm enjoying them. And no vampires! lol 1st non-vamp romance I have enjoyed ;)

390 I don't have a fancy device, and I can't read for any length of time from the PC so if I want to preview a book I go to the bookstore and sit down with a cappucino and read a chapter or 2 before I decide to buy. Putting a coffee shop in a bookstore is the bane of my existence. If I don't have time for that, or I have my kids in tow, i'll just buy the book and do the same thing at home. If after a chapter or 2 I don't like it, I return it. Simple as that :)

390 Oh I see, still seems insane, especially since the photo on amazon of the bookcover has a huge yellow "$2.99 bargain book" sticker on it LOL! But if it isn't vital to the story then i'll skip actively looking for it. Maybe i'll get lucky and find it at a thrift store tho.

So what is wattpad?

390 New question... LOL

Can anyone tell me what's so special about "Dragonswan" (Dark-Hunter #1.5) that even Amazon can't list a used paperback copy for less than $25?!?!? Is it printed on gold frickin paper? I have been getting all my DH books used from Amazon for between $1 and $3 each, yet this one IN PAPERBACK no less, is sooo expensive!
What am I missing?

I just finished "Dance with the Devil" which is like book 4 I think, and Ash is in them so far.

I didn't know Sylar's real name thank you!

And Karl Urban has been in a few things that I know of... besides LOTR and Riddick, he was in the 2nd Jason Bourne movie, and Doom. He is one of those very good but underrated actors... hopefully now he will get some more recognition because I think he's a great actor!

Star Trek (64 new)
May 11, 2009 05:48AM

390 I never watched the original series, but was forced to endure TNG as a teen...until it grew on me and I began to like it on my own. My husband is a Trekker, in the worst possible way -he speaks fluent Klingon!- And I thought the movie was awesome! Casting was phenominal. Everyone played their characters beautifully, the story was a good one, it was visually stunning... I just loved it. My husband says "it's no Wrath of Kahn, but it was good" LOL. Seems to me non-trekkies are enjoying this one more than the trekkers are.

I've had a crush on Karl Urban for years! And the dude from "Shaun of the Dead" as Scottie was brilliant! Roldy from Harold and Kumar as Sulu-loved it! But what made me want to see it was Sylar as Spock... love that guy in Heroes, and he did NOT disappoint!

All around GREAT movie :)

Lover Avenged (59 new)

390 Took me an eternity to get through this one, with all the work pouring in right now (not complaining tho!), but I have to say it was not a disappointment! I always had a little crush on Rehv cuz lets face it, he is the baddest of the bad-boys in this series... they are all scary as hell, but he takes it to a new level with his extra-cirricular activities ;)

I think Ward is sneakily inching her way towards being my fav author EVER!

390 Laurell K Hamilton... I had to TRUDGE through Guilty Pleasures, painfully, and everyone kept telling me you have to get past the first to get to the good stuff... well I got 3 chapters into the second book and gave up. Something about her erks me and I just could not get into her writing.

Nice! I woulda said maybe it has something to do with them being in highschool, apple for the"teacher" LOL. Which bothered me intensely when I first started reading it... I cursed my friend for recommending a "teeny bopper highschool" novel, until I started to get into it ;)

390 You're right Michelle, Tara does does not seem like the type on the show lol. I just look at it as if I hadn't read the books, The show would be kick-ass! Having read the books, the show ends up being pretty cool and the books are kick-ass ;)
