Wow. I'm surprised Lisa Kleypas didn't win a RITA in the historical romance category. I've never heard of the author who beat her.
The Golden Heart winners are usually given a contract/published after the announcements are made. Last year's winner was Romeo, Romeo - very popular here on GR.
I wish I could've gone to the RWA's! I've seen so many pictures and read tons of blogging about it. Looks like they had lots of fun! Plus Janet Evanovich was the main speaker this year. =)

I'm a BIG fan of the Chicago Star series. Awesome books! Of course, I liked some better than others (Match Me If You Can is my fav!).

You're not alone Teryl; however, I tend to change the heroine. I'm so tired of reading about the red-headed heroines who have curly/out of control hair. I mentally give them a flat iron. Same goes for the ones who need a good makeover. Just another opportunity for retail therapy!

My son's name is Seth, so I've had a hard time picking up books that use that name for characters. But it is such a popular hero name that I think I need to get past that.I've heard good things about Standing in the Shadows. Definitely need to add it to my TBR pile!
