I used to work with kids at an after school program and I would notice some kids acting differently. I would try to talk to the parents I felt comfortable with, but it's always tricky. I think its parents that make some issues complicated and I think that's what might get in the way when trying to get kids more help.
I haven't watched the movie and so I didn't know Kristen Stewart was Melinda in the movie...weird thing was as I read the book I imagined her as the character
I'm not sure how many pages I read a day, but I go for 2-3 books a week...although this week I'm at a book a day

I'll have to second the Jane Austen recommendation. And I want to read the Emily books by L.M. Montgomery...I loved the Anne series.
I loved the book...I'll have to find the movie version because I am interested in seeing how they adapted it.
