Funny you mentioned it, I just noticed it this evening!

3551 Well my daughter started these on Sunday night and is already through the first 3. She loves them and dare I say, she even said they are better than Twilight! Hmmm... I don't know. I think maybe it's just been awhile since she read Twilight.

3551 WoooHoo!! Savvy is ready to be picked up from the library. I'll have to add that to my November books.

I hope you love A Great and Terrible Beauty. That is my favorite trilogy. It's great!

Angie, I thought Wintergirls was very good. It's well written and you really get a sense of what the main character feels. I found myself feeling sad and anxious reading it. It's a pretty dark book.

3551 I finished Burned and Push A Novel. Moving on to Catching Fire. Yay! I'm looking forward to it!

3551 And I FINALLY finished The Girl Who Played with Fire!!! Geez-oh-pete's, I thought I would never finish. Now on to my YA splurge for October. I started Burned by Ellen Hopkins last night. I loved Identical so I am looking forward to this one.

I was thinking Stefan would have been a better Edward. I thought the last episode was good... Nice little cliffhanger. If you've read the books, how much sex is there? Are they appropriate for a 13 y/o?

Off subject a bit but... Has anyone seen this Twilight parody, Nightlight A Parody? Sorry to all Twilight lovers but this sounds like fun!

3551 I need to get reading! I finally bought it last weekend. I have to finish one or two other books first. I can't wait for the live chat!
Oct 10, 2009 03:09PM

3551 I just picked up Burned by Hopkins at the library. I can't wait to read it but I am making myself finish The Girl Who Played with Fire first.

3551 And, totally off subject, but I see you brought Jack back! I'm jealous...maybe I should dig mine out, too. :-)

3551 Isn't it great, Angie? I loved it. I kept putting it down and thinking "how does she DO that??" Especially when she switches from one sister's POV to the other. So talented.

3551 I haven't read any of the books but I checked out the first episode w/ my daughter. I thought it was pretty good. And, I'll even say that I think the acting was better on this show than the highly publicized (with higher budget??) True Blood series (which I also enjoy). I was pleasantly surprised.
