The Hunger Games is one of my favourite books of all time. I couldn't put it down. I grew very attached to Katniss and I cannot wait for Catching Fire. I don't usually re-read books (as my tbr list keeps getting longer) but I'd definitely read this book again.
Brigid:I have to agree with you. I finished the third book thinking that someone else must have written it.
Nicole: The "Save the Planet" thing does gets old. I hope there is a movie.
Neither can I. Bring on March 24! I need confirmation that Jace & Clary aren't related. I refuse to believe it.
The movie looks fantastic. I've never heard of the series. I'll have to add the book to my tbr pile.
I like this bit on page 43:
"Norah reaches over and turns on the radio. A black-lipsticked oldie: The Cure - "Pictures of You" - track four of my Breakup Desolation Mix.
This, and every other song on this disc, is dedicated to Tris..."
I have never heard this song before so I YouTube'd it. It's a sad song that sets the mood in the chapter - Nick and Norah's broken hearts. I thought it helped to express Nick's feelings.
I'm definitely interested in watching the movie.
Just checked - it doesn't come out at the movies here(NZ) till February!!! :(
I'm with you Nikki. I really like how the story switches between Nick & Norah narrating. I don't mind the swearing either. It adds to the story.
Ashley it's on Stephanie Meyers official website:
http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsu...
with an explanation why the story is on hold indefinitely :(
Oh yeah the imprinting on the baby was gross!
I have yet to read Midnight Sun. I'm sad it was leaked unfinished on the internet. It would've made a really good story.
I really disliked Breaking Dawn. It was like the story was written to tie up all the loose ends for a happy every after.
Quite a boring read, I really struggled to finish the book.
I've almost finished Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer and I've just started reading The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfeld.
I really enjoyed this book till I found out they were related. I felt sick. I hope it's all a mistake.
