33864 I loved the Nell Sweeney series by P.B. Ryan is set in Boston after the Civil War. Will Hewitt is so yummy. I had to re-read all six books and then email the author begging if she'd write more!

My first step into writing historicals is set in modern day and Prohibition. Lost in the Light by Mary Castillo When my grandma saw the cover, she thought I had used a photo of my great grandfather who was quite the dashing man about town in the 1920s!

33864 The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is one of my all-time favorite movies! When I sat down to write Lost in the Light, I wanted to pay homage to the romance between Lucy Muir and Captain Craig ... but set in modern day and the Prohibition. Hope you enjoy the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyhBi0...

33864 Historical romance is my go-to genre. My favorite authors are Elizabeth Hoyt, Courtney Milan, Deanna Raybourn and Tasha Alexander. I miss historicals by Lisa Kleypas!
33864 Well I'll say this: it sure is easier to read an exciting book than it is to write one!

Best,

33864 My two favorite historical authors are Deanna Raybourn and Tasha Alexander. They don't fit neatly into the historical romance genre (which is why I love them) in fact their books are mysteries. But there is a strong romance thread woven through the Lady Julia Grey and Lady Emily series.
