3124 Yeah, that's what it boils down to really for a lot of people, and thats coming from a book-buying-aholic! lol

3124 Yeah, I get that authors and pubs want to make money but what they dont get is that a lot of us have budgets we need to adhere to.. and we just cannot afford some of the prices they are wanting to charge for ebooks.

I stand by my line in the sand in that I will not pay more than a paperback price for an ebook. If its only available in hardcover than I will not pay more than the hardcover price (minus the 15-30% off that stores usually sell them for).

I hate that authors get the shaft when it comes to the pricing of their books, I really wish they got a bigger cut.

3124 I still think it's way cool :)

3124 Oh my! That is so cool Marissa!

I imagine you have a ton of bookmarks :D

3124 I never stop mid chapter. I always have to stop at the end of one.. it bugs me otherwise lol

3124 @Sinful - Even though I agree that the market is saturated with vamps.. I still love them! I just have to take a break and read other things for a while before I can go back :)

3124 That is a good point Amber, Vampire stories with vampires that LOVE their lifestyle. Now THAT I want to read about.

I am SO tired of the angst (teen or not) that comes with most of these vamp books and how they feel sorry for themselves and regret the decision to become a vampire (if they had one that is)

I want to read about vampires that are proud to be what they are.

3124 Hey guys :)

The Pajama Chat Readers have monthly Blog Talk Radio discussions about books, where people can chat (via the chatroom) or they can call in and discuss the books/series live with the panelists.

This is where my request comes into play :)

Wicked Enchantment (my site) and Literary Escapism (site I review with) are both affiliates of the PCR and we are hosting a Blog Talk Radio about the Jane Yellowrock series.

I am looking for 1-2 panelists that will be willing to discuss the Jane Yellowrock series with me. The panelists will be discussing in voice chat and answering questions and taking any calls from listeners.

If interested please PM me on GR, or you can email me at: zylee_seraphim (at) yahoo (dot) com

3124 Actually, I used to feel that way Mariya but I have noticed that when a new book comes out that is hardback, that a lot of the times the ebook version is about 5 bucks cheaper and to me that's significant so I get the ebook version.

To me personally it all depends on which version is the lowest price, and that's what I will buy.. unless I absolutely cant go outdoors or don't want to wait for it via snail mail. =P

3124 This is true Suz, but at the same time prices have to be competitive. =)

3124 I hope this post is ok, I put it in the right area but am always leery about making a post like this :)

From my love of reading and collecting bookmarks, I have created an etsy store to sell my bookmarks :) They are handmade and one of a kind and decently priced to be competitive :)
Custom bookmarks are also available if someone doesn't see something they like :)

Website: http://www.etsy.com/shop/wickedenchan...

Thanks for looking :)

Adding a coupon for potential GR buyers :)

Coupon Code: GR304U

Just put that in and you get 30% off your order :)

barnesandnoble.com is where I shop for a lot of mine. But there are a TON of ebook stores out there that sell ebooks for a lot less than $10 bucks.

3124 YA thrives because without the ability for a YA story to include sex scenes that will bring in readers (hey, for those of us that love that sorta stuff /grins), the authors need to sell and make their story work on plot and character alone.

I happen to love YA stories because of this, because when I am tired of all of the *falling into bed together on the first day* types of books, YA is there to fulfill that void and entertain me with a wonderful story with engaging characters.

Ooops I didnt see this comment when I replied. But that does make a difference to a lot of people. I myself have purchased books to give away for the sole purpose of helping a cause.. Like the stuff they do at the Borders near my house.

I understand authors need to make a living but I have never been rich.. and I read A LOT, so I have to go with what I can afford.
The ebook pricing is a very touchy subject (if you couldnt tell by my previous response lol) and no one likes to feel jipped.
And the thing is.. for an ebook to cost more than a paperback to me is mindboggling lol.

3124 Only if it were "only" available in hardback and the hardback was 20 bucks or something.

If its a paperback, the ebook sellers can kiss my white ass ROFL.

Basically if I can get the paperback/hardcover for the same price then that's what I am going to do.

3124 Oh I have Stacia Kane's books on my to review list!! I will have to move those up :D

I wanted to add, I did move up the Remy Chandler series up and I LOVED IT!! Thank you to whomever posted him here :)
