and
Creme de Colorado
I'm always open to new finds, but these little books are used often.
My husband and I still get a kick out of Beatrix Potter. Our favorite is Tom Kitten. Holy Lord that is some funny Britishy stuff.
I adore the story, "The Grass Harp" by Truman Capote, any Nick Hornby book will put a smile on my face, "High Fidelity", "About A Boy". I love any Roddy Doyle book. period. Especially the Barrytown Trilogy with "The Commitments", "The Snapper" and "The Van". Being a teacher, I love so many children's books...anything by Mo Willems can make me laugh...Dr. Seuss...so many. I don't have time to name them today!
Marian Keyes! Total Fluff. Sophie Kinsella! Fluffer nutter! Jennifer Weiner! Fluff with a little more stuff...Love love love the fluff...
I'm reading "Queen Bees and Wannabees" so that I'm not completely in the dark when my daughter begins middle school next year. I'm also reading "The Letters of Noel Coward." It's lovely.
I liked "Jane Austen Book Club" and "The Memory Keeper's Daughter."

Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle (I also enjoyed the Keira Knightly version)
Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow AND Kate Beckinsdale
Sense and Sensibility with Emma/Kate

I would recommend ANY book by Nick Hornby (About A Boy, High Fidelity, Fever Pitch, and so on). They're all fantastic and great fun. I laughed throughout them all.
I'm anxiously awaiting two more movies based on books:
The Other Boleyn Girl
The Secret Life of Bees...
ooh I like this group!
My name is Rebecca. I teach kindergarten at a bilingual school in a little town in Colorado. I almost became a high school English teacher until life got in the way. (I majored in Victorian/Edwardian English Lit for 2 years before switching to Human Development) I have an M.A. in Early Childhood Education focusing on special education. I have 2 children, a girl who is 10 and an 8 year old boy. I adore reading and am attempting like a few of you to read at least 3 books a month.
My favorite authors range from Austen, Steinbeck, Dickens and Bronte to Capote, Welty, and chick lit such as Helen Fielding, Marian Keyes and Jennifer Weiner.
