Jo, the Philly book festival wasn't worth my trip over the bridge.....there was one stand giving books away and the best thing I found was a tiny little bookstore one block behind the library 20th and wood......I was very disappointed.
I am reading BoneMan's Daughters by Ted Dekker. So far so good. I enjoy his writing style.I am listening to The Last Child by John Hart......kinda slow, I hope it picks up!
I loved this novel, though I listened to the audiobook version.....although the subject matter is difficult to stomach I think it was written wonderfully. There is nothing left to the reader's imagination.
I like to run to rock music.....well mostly....I love State Radio (Indie rock, reggae, very eclectic) Paramore, right now I'm loving the Carolina Liar album, then the classics: Korn, Rage Against the Machine.I do have a couple of pop songs on there....but right now I can't remember....
I found this book for a friend whose son has Autism......it's great for kidshttp://search.barnesandnoble.com/Since-W...
I hate running! HATE IT, but I know it's what I need to do....maybe we should make a Chicks on Fit group too!
I love my wii fit....anymore I usually only use the free step option so I can watch tv.....I didn't even know it went online. I just got it hooked up to the internet after 2 years!!!!
Patricia----I'm on audible too!!!!!loved Thirteenth Tale on audio.....I enjoyed middlesex on audio too!
my next two books are on hold at the library for me. They both came in at the same time which alters my plan of a quick YA read between!
The Twilight series is a YA series. I read them to see what the hype is about and enjoyed all but 1 of them. It's the perfect forbidden love story that all girls hope for. The writing is weak in my opinion but her storylines have drawn everyone in.
I enjoyed Lovely Bones. I read it after Lucky which I also enjoyed. both were hard to put down for me. I also don't remember much I read them so long ago. However that's where Sebold's writing ability ends for me. Almost moon was HORRENDOUS!
I loved TSS!!!! I audioed Kite Runner and loved that too. However, TSS was much more real to me. I could picture the scenery, the dress, the emotions. I was in TSS whereas with the Kite Runner, I pictured things but I was an outsider. I really enjoy Khaled Hosseni's writing!
1. I would like to think that it took place in modern times....I keep floating between the 50's and 70's, but no clue as to why.3. I loved Ms. Winter. Her intrigue and prowress totally captivated me. She wanted Margaret to figure things out mostly on her own, but left subtle enough hints in her story that Margaret never knows if the story has concluded.
I'm finishing The History of Love, hopefully today. Then I'm moving on to The True Story of Hansel and Gretel. I've already read the 13th tale and loved it!!!!
