Thanks KristT! Man, it's been over a decade since I read Gatsby! I'll have to do a cliff's notes refresher before I read RLIT. :)
Oh, I presumed it was only Lolita that they discussed in the book. What other books were in there? RLIT is on my to read shelf--should I do more homework before I read it? hahaha!
PS Cindy, that was Teri that made that comment up above about the waves but I am so very flattered that you think I look like her. She's gorgeous!!I never noticed before, but you two DO look alike! You could be sisters!
Cindy, where are you in that pic? You look like you're having an adventure in the winter melt...!
Ok, I have to stop looking now! The pages go to infinity and beyond! (I nearly made it to the end...!!!!!!!)Can't. Stop. Laughing!
Forgive me if this has already been posted (has it???), but I just noticed that in the monthly newsletter, there's a section for Authors from other countries! Coolio. It's called "Literature at Every Latitude"
Scroll down the page to see the blurb.

Ironically enough, I almost picked up Persepolis earlier because I saw it on your update feed (but then I remembered I have no money to buy books)!
Most def! Anytime... (It's fun to look up a bunch of tax returns for all your favorite organizations! Ha!)
Oh yeah, if you CAN'T see the link, just sign up for a guidestar account. They're free! And you can look up tax returns for pretty much any nonprofit org out there (as long as they're not a teeny tiny organization).
Ok, Jackie asked about the financial info for Project Night Night. Can you see this link?http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments//2...
It's their tax return. Looks like they get almost all their revenues from donations from the public (cash donations and donations of books, toys, blankets, etc), plus a little bit of interest earned on what appears to be a checking/savings account. Their executive director gets $30k/year, and one other person gets $15k. Their expenses seem legit. They're a very low-budget organization.
If you focus all of your energy on one aspect of yourself, the others will fall out of balance. Jo, you're right on, here. All of us are WHOLE people not just different parts one day to the next. Balance has always been a major theme in my life--what can I say, I'm a Libra--and whenever I'm out of balance, I can feel it physically, emotionally, you name it. I want ALL OF US to love ourselves regardless of what we look like.
I wish I'd come back to re-read these posts this morning. I just realized I scarfed my breakfast! Oops.
Allison, great comment!!!!! There is something to be said for slooooowiiiiing down!Mind if I share your comment with the people in Fatties Unite?
I think you are a member. But you haven't posted in a while, so I didn't know if you were still checking in... Good call on only being online at certain times. The addiction to the web is a killer! :)
Move to New York City! (If you're not already there...) Sam French is always hiring. Well, they used to be hiring all the time, so my grapevine has said. Check it out!
