I just scored at the thrift store! Bought
Invisible Monsters, The Shack, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents (I love Pratchett!), and The Witch of Blackbird Pond.
All 4 for a grand total of $1.80!
Now off to hide them before hubby see them!
Saw a few more I might have to go back for!
Woo! I just left Dallas today! My hubby's 6 sisters and brother live in the area so we try to go every year, or so.
Very nice area. Was thinking on this trip that if I lose my job, I wouldn't mind moving out that way.
Yee-haw!!
Tera, it's not easy to do what you did-congratulations for taking that step!
Yea Holli! I can't think of a better choice :)
I'm a huge fan of Neil Gamian and Terry Pratchett - they're both a little left of center...I can identify :)
Hey Laura -
Not a dumb question - I'm sorry I 'ass'umed.
I started this particular ring in August '08 - had a handful of people on bookcrossing that were interested in reading it. I sent the book to person #1, they have about 30 days to read the book, after they're done, they send to person #2 who sends it to person #3, and so on - the last person would complete the 'ring' by sending back to me.
Good Omens is with the last reader on bookcrossing. I thought that if anyone here was interested, we'd move the ring to CoL.
Hope this makes sense!
Would anyone be interested in a bookring for Good Omens The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch? It's a great book co-written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
The book is just finishing a bookring I had started on bookcrossing.com and I thought I'd offer it up here before it comes home.

A Walk in the Woods Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail by Bill Bryson
I'm loving it! God bless anyone that attempts to hike the Appalachian Trail - not this girl!
Lori wrote: "I will most certainly do that. I was planning on going home this weekend and then it was really rainy on Friday, so I didn't. I came up with the idea of my parents coming to me for lunch on Sunda..."
I know how it is to have real life get in the way.
I've added Lori to the bottom of the list so she can finish the book :)
Has anyone heard from Lori? I've sent her a message asking if she's rec'd the book.
Sherry, I've added you to the list.
I'm twittering and am boring as heck!
I follow Neil Gaiman - he's not boring and twitters all the time.
Lori wrote: "Jamie, Maybe we can start a book ring with The Thirteenth Tale, like someone else did with the Heretic's Daughter. Just a thought."
My copy of Thirteenth Tale is out on loan at the moment. If I get it before someone starts I ring, I'd be happy to get one going.
Looks like BooksFree is only new release paperbacks so you're still waiting to read 'best-sellers'.
I love bomc2.com ~ a bookclub for $10.00 a month and free shipping. They have most hardback bestsellers/new releases and you own the book.

Teri, I was so tickled to find that bookmark - I'm glad you liked it! It had a spot for a picture and I just printed our Chick and slipped it in there :) Enjoy!
