2996 What did you think of The Invisible Man Jo? I've been reading that off and on for months now.

2996 I admire you guys, I don't think I could possibly do it. What do you do when you don't know what else to write?

2996 And I just have to add that the person you choose makes a huge difference. "Marrying well" is how an older (and wiser) friend once put it to me. And this does NOT mean marrying someone who is rich! It means marrying someone who is compatible with you.

I also have to say that I think the secret to a happy marriage (in addition to marrying someone compatible) is to have very, very hot chemistry with your spouse. Good sex can go a long way toward solving various problems!

2996 Umm....I do want to write a novel and I've been planning one for some time, but I don't think the NaNoWriMo is the thing for me. I love it when people do it tho, and I can cheer them on! :)

2996 I completely agree. I did not think that Rowdy died either. He's moving on. He describes all of these people that he will love and miss. That's how I saw it. I loved that book. I want to read everything he wrote now. He's got a great sense of humor, and the teen voice rings very true.

2996 Aaaaaaah! I just won a signed ARC of this in a contest and I'm leaping off the walls with excitement. I've heard it's very good! Have you read it Laura?

We're all superior for engaging in a discussion peaceably. Thanks Teri!

2996 Wow! So well said Brenda! There are so many more things that unify us! If only we all focused on that....'imagine' as John Lennon said, what would happen then.

2996 And meanwhile I'll just feel superior to be an American, because this was an honor for the US!

I can't resist the optimistic viewpoint.

Love to all my Chicks.

2996 I was soo bummed too when I found out they weren't real. I still believe in Santa Claus in a way, and I always will. I think when you give anonymous gifts at Christmas time, especially to those in need, then Santa lives on. So that's why Cmas isn't complete for me unless we do that.

He is real if we make him real.

Also I completely believe in ghosts, and I'm looking forward to reading this book.

2996 Tera you and I don't agree on politics but I have so much respect for you because you know how to disagree "agreeably". That is one of the many reasons I like & respect you so much. This is one of the most awesome groups on GR, was my first group and introduction to this site and for that I will always be grateful to Chicks on Lit.

2996 Inspiring others and engaging in meaningful discussions with heads of various states IS doing something. I don't know why anyone is arguing that point.

Interesting to learn more about those other candidates though Tera. Thanks for sharing that.

2996 Teri's right, it is so much easier to be negative than to construct viable solutions or encourage and/or promote potential candidates for a change you believe in. I've been thinking, Teri...I will say that much. I think you pose a great question, and one that encourages what we're trying to promote here...peace.
