2996 I love the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel! I don't think their food is super spectacular, but it's decent and the atmosphere of the place is very cozy. It's tough to leave there without buying something in the store. I don't know the "real" name for them, but I usually end up buying those dot candy things that are on a paper backing.

For anyone who likes audiobooks, they also have a display where you can buy them at any store, listen to them and then return them to any Cracker Barrel and get part of your money back. It's great when you're traveling.

2996 I'm just starting Slickrock by Laura Crum. It's part of a great mystery series about a female equine veterinarian.

2996 I'd have Christmas year round if I could so it's never too early in my opinion. :)

My husband and I were at Sam's Club this weekend and they had their Christmas stuff in the aisle right next to the Halloween stuff. My husband thought it was too early, but I got excited.

I also buy gifts year-round and start wrapping about this time each year.

I'm listening to Shutter Island by the same author on audio and just cannot get into it at all. I'm through 5 out of 8 disks so I feel like it's too late to abandon it, but I'm almost to the point of being completely uninterested. I was hoping for something more gripping.

This always happens to me, too! Then, it seems like they're all reserved after me so no chance for renewals and no real way to squeeze them all in before they're due back. So frustrating!

So true! I'm almost afraid to see Time Traveler's Wife because I loved the book so much and I don't want to be disappointed, but it's been awhile so maybe that will help me to like them both.

I recently watched In Her Shoes the day after finishing the book. Surprisingly, I liked them both equally as well even though major parts of the story were changed/taken out in the film version.

I actually really liked this book. It's deep and requires a lot of undivided attention though so maybe you can pick it back up when you're in the mood for something like that.

In Her Shoes

2996 I stayed up to finish In Her Shoes last night and really enjoyed it. Pretty fluffy, but well written.

2996 Sheila - How do they know how much to send you for postage? Do you box up the books they will buy and weigh it to report to them?

I plugged in some ISBNs of books I'm looking to profit from. They'll only accept about 25% of what I have, but the prices seemed more than fair in my opinion.

2996 Has anyone ever sold books through this site? I saw it on Dr. Phil earlier in the week and checked it out yesterday. Looks like it's on the up and up and fairly easy to do. I was just curious if anyone has actual experience with them and how it went.

2996 Um, no. LOL

The nursery is definitely a priority. We have all of the stuff we need and most of it's organized (because that's what I love to do), but my husband still has to finish staining the dresser/changing table and we need to get the furniture arranged, sheets on the crib, art on the wall and all the other non-essentials taken care of.

2996 First and foremost, my #1 priority is to be a good mommy to our little one who is due on 10/2.

After that, it's getting my body back. I've packed on more pounds than I'd hoped. I want to shed those and get back in shape.

I'm also going to start looking into ways to turn my Nutrituion & Wellness Consultant certification into a money-making venture.

That's one of my all-time favorite books.

2996 I finished Angels & Demons by Dan Brown yesterday. It was okay, but I didn't like it nearly as much as The Da Vinci Code.

I also finished The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis on audio. Good, but not my favorite from the series.

2996 I'm 5 pages into In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner and have already LOL'd twice. Can't wait to read more!
