Groups_nophoto-50x66 The Spellman Files are fantastic. The third one is due out in March. They are a must read!

I'm reading Unzipped by Lois Greiman. It's pretty good so far. Funny lines and decent characters.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 I just finished Too Close To Home and really liked it. Like all of Linwood Barclay's books, the characters are so real and the situations believable. There is always a bit of suspense and a decent mystery plot. He's one of the authors that I look forward to his latest release.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Just thought of another one:

No Time For Goodbye by Linwood Barclay

He's a great writer and I really liked this one. Kept me guessing all the way until the end. He writes a mystery series as well, that is very funny with great plots.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 I have read and loved The Heat of the Moon and Disturbing the Dead by Sandra Parshall. Technically, Disturbing the Dead is a sequel, but the main character from Heat of the Moon is in a completely new town with completely new people so they both pretty much read as stand alone books. They are very good psychological thriller/mystery. Quick reads you won't want to put down.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 I love Jennifer Colt's mystery series. There are four books out now. Starring twin sisters who are PI's in California. Very funny and decent mysteries. First book is The Butcher of Beverly Hills.

Another favorite of mine is Linwood Barclay. Again funny and a good mystery. Starring a married male author/journalist with two teenagers. Lots of funny family life stuff and believable plot. First book is Bad Move.

Sarah Graves has a large mystery series called Home Repair is Homicide. Lots of fun small town stuff going on in each book. Funny home repair problems always springing up. Good mysteries throughout the series.

A few other authors with mystery series that I make sure I read each new book include Linda Barnes, Jeffery Cohen, Joe Konrath, Sandra Parshall, Lisa Scottoline, James Swain, PJ Tracy.

A few authors with mystery series that are completed and that I enjoyed are Karen Kijewski, Charlaine Harris, Barbara Seranella, Katy Munger.

Happy reading!

Groups_nophoto-50x66 There is a series by Sarah Graves called Home Repair is Homicide. There are 11 books out so far and she is working on number 12. The first book was a little hard to get through, but it's a great series. Once you understand the town and characters, you can't wait to go back to them in the next book. She throws in some funny home repair mishaps and she's not afraid to kill people off. Every book has had a decent plot that has taken me until the last second to guess who did it. Check out her website for a complete book list.

There is an old series that is by Karen Kijewski that has a female PI lead character. Great mysteries. The series is over now, but there are 9 books to keep you reading for awhile.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Wondering if anyone has read any of the mysteries by an author named G.M. Ford? I have read the first two books in his older series who's main character is Leo Waterman. Waterman's a PI in Seattle who has befriended several homeless men who he uses as "operatives". There is some good humor in the books and the mysteries have kept me guessing up to the end. He has another series as well and I was just looking for some feedback.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 I recently read The Thirteenth Tale too and I really liked it. I've tried to get a few of my neighbors to read it and they said they couldn't get into it. I'm glad to see someone else thought it was a good book.

I have read all three of Koontz's Odd Thomas books. I love these books and am always surprised at how Koontz writes these with such a different voice/style then all of his other books. The first one is the best, but the other two are good as well.
