2802 I've been away from this thread (heck, from all of Goodreads!) for a bit while I was getting my second book ready for release, but I'm so happy to come back and find this thread still active.

JK, I adore that Kindle cover!

Also, I drool over the Oberon covers all the time. I'm just not sure if I want to drop that kind of money on a cover. They're so pretty, though. Do they hold up well? My old cover is getting a little beat up.

2802 I still have all of mine; there are many I still haven't read! But I mostly decorate with my old paperbacks. Bookshelves really make a room look nice. Very intellectual. ;) So, my bedroom and office are full of 'em!

Same here. I was very apprehensive at first when I got my first Kindle in March of last year, but now I couldn't live without it! I always have it with me. :)

2802 Look, I'll shop anywhere with books, so I'd definitely shop there! And I agree with Deana; I've been really disappointed in B&N lately.

Ooh, pretty!

Ellie, have you checked Etsy? I've found that a lot of the covers on there are more ornate than the ones from Amazon. :)

Oh, The Yellow Wall-Paper. One of my absolute favorites! It's horrifying in its own way; the description of the woman "creeping" will stick with me forever. I studied it a few times in university, and I liked it more every time I read it. I remember sitting my sister down and forcing her to read it one night!

I'll definitely check it out! :)

On the completely opposite side of the literary spectrum, I'm now casually reading Tales of the Jazz Age by F. Scott Fitzgerald, because there just hasn't been enough F. Scott in my life recently.

Holy cow, you mean you didn't name it after Walter on Fringe? LOL! I just assumed you did! What a crazy coincidence. Great minds think alike, indeed.

Exactly. My bedroom is not very well lit, and I really doubt I could read at night if I didn't have my light. It's a nice soft light, too, not too abrasive.

2802 My boyfriend's Kindle is named EXTERMINATE because we had just watched a bunch of Doctor Who before he got it.

2802 I read DEAD ish yesterday night/this morning. It was okay, a little scatterbrained, but it had its funny moments. I got the story for free, and I'll probably still try another story in the series.

2802 I adore my lighted cover! It's sturdy, good looking, and Ralph is right; I've never noticed it draining the battery at all. Let us know what you think when you get yours, Ted. What color did you get?
