2802 Final Vector by Allan Leverone

FREE until 8/30 from Medallion Press, the thriller bestselling author Vincent Zandri calls "edge of your seat suspense..."

Air traffic controller Nick Jensen's life is in a shambles. His wife Lisa has died following a horrific automobile wreck and the authorities suspect foul play. He finds evidence suggesting Lisa, a Pentagon auditor, had discovered potentially treasonous material on a fellow employee's computer, a man who also winds up dead.

Desperate to escape the pain, Nick throws himself into his work and is on duty at the radar ATC facility serving Boston's Logan Airport on the night U.S. President Robert Cartwright is scheduled to fly into Boston. Armed terrorists storm the facility, killing the security staff and taking Nick's fellow controller hostage as he works.

Nick escapes capture, but with time running out, must use the information from his murdered wife to unravel the terrorists' plot and stop an assassination while outnumbered, unarmed and on the run...

Normally priced at $4.99, this special free promotion extends to all ebook formats and ends August 30.

2802 Hi Denna, it looks like you have plenty to keep you busy, but if you're interested in one more, my Delirium Books horror novella, DARKNESS FALLS, was just released a couple of weeks ago, and I would love another review! Here's a quick synopsis:

In this tale of creeping horror, down-on-his-luck novelist Tyler Beckman returns to his old hometown of Darkness Falls, New Hampshire, hoping to resurrect his career. Tyler fled the town of his youth nearly two decades earlier following the brutal triple murder of his parents and sister, landing in New York and eventually writing six bestselling gothic horror novels, achieving fame and fortune before losing it all in a blizzard of drugs, booze and women.

Now, in a desperate last-ditch effort to regain what he has lost, Tyler rents the home of his family's imprisoned killer, determined to confront demons best left buried. Immediately his writing flourishes, and in a frenzy of activity, Tyler begins pounding out the novel that will put him back on top.

But a malevolent force is at work in Darkness Falls, one which is timeless and evil and unstoppable. And it has Tyler Beckman in its sights.

Fast-paced and eerily seductive, Darkness Falls is a well-told and atmospheric tale of loss and obsession, of madness and revenge.

"Allan Leverone is a terrific writer with a bright future. I hope to see him around for many years to come."
—Mark Edward Hall, author of The Lost Village and Servants of Darkness

"A dark and creepy chiller!" - Ronald Malfi, author of Snow and Floating Staircase

Darkness Falls

Please let me know if you're interested and I can get you a copy...thanks very much!

2802 Excellent points by Shaina and Helen. Some people prefer to be entertained visually, but if you're a reader, spending less money to be entertained for a longer time by a book is a pretty good option. Not only that, the movie you construct in your mind when reading is almost always better and more elaborate than anything even the best director in the world can come up with to put on a movie screen...

2802 I agree with Lisa above. My debut thriller was published as an ebook and priced at $7.99 by the publisher, a price I felt was too high but which I was unable to change. My second thriller is priced at what I believe is a more reasonable $2.99 by a different publisher. As an unknown author, I believe it's much better to set a price for my work which won't scare off potential readers before they even have a chance to sample my work.

As a reader, on the other hand, the price of a potential read is less important to me than the hook - if the author can convince me the work is something I will enjoy, I'm willing to plunk down the cash, regardless of price (within reason, of course).
