I did some poking around Google and found out that the next book, Fade To Midnight, is indeed Kev McCloud's book. Yay!There's an interview with McKenna here. And down near the bottom there is a link to a scene from chapter one of the book.
Auntee wrote: "And it looks like it's a MM paperback, not the dreaded HC!:)"You're right, Auntee. Amazon is listing is as an MMP. Could be just a mistake and they don't have all the info yet. But if so, I'm surprised. That would mean the HC's haven't been selling well enough to remain HC releases. I would think she would sell well.
But hey, I won't complain about not having to pay HC price!
Next book Silent Scream is apparently due out May 25, 2010 and will feature David Hunter and Olivia Sutherland. Can't wait!!!
I may have to adjust this as I read the rest of the month, but so far...Worst:
(these were 1-star books)
Dark of Night by Suzanne Brockmann
Tall, Dark and Deadly by Lorie O'Clare
Best:
(hmmm...I had 6 5-star RS books so far this year...check that, 7...the one I just read was 5-star)
Kill For Me by Karen Rose
I Can See You by Karen Rose
The Missing by Shiloh Walker
Breakpoint by JoAnn Ross
One Scream Away by Kate Brady
Fade to Black by Leslie Parrish
Shoot to Thrill by Nina Bruhns
The covers are quite yummy ;) and so far, book 1 is a winner. Hopefully it holds up through the rest of the book.
I'm currently reading "Shoot To Thrill" by Nina Bruhns, which is the first book in her 'Passion For Danger' series...and so far, it's really good. Kinda reminds me some of the early 'Troubleshooters' books by Suz Brockmann.

I may get around to reading Ice eventually, but after her last book, Burn, (which bored me), I'm not all that enthused to read Ice.
Isn't the book uber creepy? I don't think I've read a scarier romantic suspense.I'm pretty sure that's not her (Rose Smith) she doesn't acknowledge any association on her site. And from reading her bio stuff, I think the RS books are the only ones she's done.
It's a very disturbing, dark story. But excellently done by Rose. And like her other books, the suspense outweighs the romance, but I don't mind because her plots are so great.
Amar, have you read Die For Me yet? That one is by far my favorite Karen Rose book, and one of the best romantic suspense books I've ever read.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Kathrynn!I'd definitely rank it as one of the best books I've read this year. And, I agree, the H/H were great.
Are you planning to read the other 2 in the series? This one was my favorite of the 3, but I enjoyed the whole trilogy.
LOL. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it, Kathrynn!I'm currently in the middle of the 3rd book. Not quite hooked into it yet. It's a very busy story.
I've got about 80 pages to go in the second book and it's almost as good as the first. I'm highly impressed with Kelly's first attempts at romantic suspense. She obviously has a knack for it.
You guys are making me want to read it! Maybe I'll bump it up to next in line after I finish the Black CATs trilogy.
