Coffee (5 new)

2704 My favorite coffee comes from a bakery in San Francisco, le Boulange. They have their own special. When I go to the city to visit my family, I always try to come home with a pound or 2 or 3 or 4.

2704 Colette...People of the Book is on my to-read list. Did you read March? I loved that book!

2704 I am looking for a good book and discussion!

2704 Just finished reading the book.

This was the second time I read it, and I still found it enjoyable.

As for Lakeshia's comments about Berendt stretching the truth.

I believe he does fudge with the time line, and adds a story telling quality to his writing, but all those characters do exists. I remember watching an A&E documentary on the book after the first time I read it. All the characters in all their crazy glory gave interviews and told their thoughts on the murder, Jim Williams, Berendt and "The Book" as the good people of Savannah kindly refer to "Midnight..."

2704 I read this book years ago. I am up for reading it again.

I just picked up The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, it is Oprah's book club book which is usually a big no for me, but it has got some very good reviews.

That might be a good second choice.

2704 Good to see your are back.

It is that strange time of year in Northern California where you run the heater in the morning and the air conditioner at night.

Since it is now noon my morning coffee cup is in the dishwasher and now I am onto diet coke. It is thing with me, for some strange reason I cannot drink coke before noon. Even in an airport where I am told "there is no accounting for time of day" and vodka is served at 8 AM in the bar. ;)

Take care

2704 Niki, The Girl with No Shadow will not be released until the end of April, but I got an Advanced Readers Edition form Abe Books. It was very inexpensive, more so than if I were to have waited and bought the hard copy in the store.

My live and in person read is reading Chocolat this month with and I am leading the discussion. That is why I was on a mission to get the sequel. I almost ordered it from Amazon UK.

2704 Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!

I saw that it was hard when Adult Henry and Child Henry are together, but I liked the way her helped him. Taught him how to survive. It make for and idea of ever looping.

The foreshadowing and past memories throw even more confusion into the mix.

I still remember having a problem with Adult Henry and Child Clare's relationship. Do either of you?

I still cannot find my book, but you questions are comments have prompt my memory. But I remember right, after they get married it gets weirder.

2704 Hmm.. Strange. I tried to just type test and it wants at least 5 characters.

Try typing your name at the end of each post and see if that helps.

2704 Bree-- That sounds like a great vacation. Your son must be so excited for this trip. You will have a great time. Take care!

2704 Right now I am reading "The Girl with No Shadow" Joanne Harris' sequel to Chocolat. I am loving it. I am glad I read 5 Quarters of the Orange, because Vianne and Anouk spent some time in La Laveuses and some character from 5 Quarters are suppose to make an appearance.

I hopefully will finish this tomorrow and then I will start on Twilight.

Bree, where in California are you planning on visiting? Here in the Bay Area we are in full spring mode. Cool mornings and evenings warm afternoons.

2704 SPOILER ALERT!!!!

It is hard to follow, but here are some time lines. It might be better to post this closer to the end, but then again the way things jump around in this book it might help those who want the help. It is big spoiler, so only look if you want to.

This is a link to the blog "you know Jack" and the time lines are PDFs.
