Ohhhh -- I see that I commented earlier in this thread about a sweater that has been sitting in my stash for three years without sewing up. It appears that's a trend with me. (shakes head in chagrin).
I have a sweater that is all but finished from seven years ago. Seven. All it requires is the sewing up and then finishing the neck. I LOATHE sewing up. Sigh.
I just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club -- if anyone wants my copy, they're welcome to it!

I have a sweater that needs sewing up (the part I loathe the most) that's been sitting in my stash for three years now. That's just wrong.
I LOVE Knitty, too! I have a couple of their t-shirts.
For BUYING yarn, I like http://www.theknittinggarden.com and http://www.jimmybeanswool.com
And I love the free patterns at http://www.berroco.com

I really liked "Knitting For the First Time" by Vanessa-Ann -- each project focused on one stitch or "idea".

I'm knitting a Noni bag, and I'm cheating and crocheting instead of knitting a wrap for myself -- I need it NOW and I need to be able to drop it and answer the call and whims of the five-year-old so crocheting is the only thing that will work.
I LONG to have enough quiet time to make an Aran cabled sweater. Alas, I suffer from being Fluffy and that would be a LOT of yarn. :-)

Hi! Thank you Christy for inviting me!
I learned to crochet when I was 8 but didn't start knitting until five years ago, when I was pregnant -- that was my "nesting" thing, I guess! I made three sweaters and got carpal tunnel in the first few months, LOL.
Right now I don't have a lot of time to knit because I'm a full-time mom and a full-time jewelry designer. Most of my knitting is done in the passenger seat of the car when we're heading to a show or something. Right now I'm working on a Noni felted bobble bag -- the bag part is done but those danged BOBBLES! I have about a million more to make!
