Groups_nophoto-50x66 Jacob's Courage sounds like a fantastic book. I used to teach Middle School and we read The Diary of Anne Frank, then took the kids to the Holocaust Museum in Dallas. What a very powerful experience.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Still on that journey, still learning, and I think I always will be. But you're right, someday I hope to have a deeper understanding as to the "WHYS".

Groups_nophoto-50x66 That sounds like a book that is sorely needed at this time in our world.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Your story sounds interesting. I agree that hope and healing can be found within a place bigger than ourselves. It can also be found through trials of fire, when we may not be all that sure that a higher being is participating in our lives. But at the end, I have to believe that there is a higher power holding us up through it all.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Your dad and you are very lucky to have had the kind of relationship you had. I'm glad you found peace through writing it.

Groups_nophoto-50x66 Yes, it was a cathartic experience. I was very, very afraid to write what was inside my head and what I feared was lurking in the shadows of my mind. I struggle with PTSD as it is; writing the novel did not trigger my PTSD, though. I hope you will let me know what you think of Courage in Patience after you read it.
