Jacob's Courage sounds like a fantastic book. I used to teach Middle School and we read The Diary of Anne Frank, then took the kids to the Holocaust Museum in Dallas. What a very powerful experience.

Still on that journey, still learning, and I think I always will be. But you're right, someday I hope to have a deeper understanding as to the "WHYS".

That sounds like a book that is sorely needed at this time in our world.

Your story sounds interesting. I agree that hope and healing can be found within a place bigger than ourselves. It can also be found through trials of fire, when we may not be all that sure that a higher being is participating in our lives. But at the end, I have to believe that there is a higher power holding us up through it all.

Your dad and you are very lucky to have had the kind of relationship you had. I'm glad you found peace through writing it.

Yes, it was a cathartic experience. I was very, very afraid to write what was inside my head and what I feared was lurking in the shadows of my mind. I struggle with PTSD as it is; writing the novel did not trigger my PTSD, though. I hope you will let me know what you think of Courage in Patience after you read it.
